“Basic Elements of an Online Sales Letter – Part II”

The first seven basic elements of your sales letter include: Pre Head, Headline, deck copy, body copy, subhead, lead and rapport. Read on to find the remaining 8 basic elements of an online sales letter.

8. Credibility. Why should you listen to that person? You have to establish credibility fast and show people why you are different. On the Internet when people come to your website and you want their credit card information, they don’t know if you are a scam or not. So you have to reassure people that you are not going to rip them off. Plus, you want to show people that you are friendly.

9. Bullets. These are brief statements that offer benefits of your products or services. Don’t go into specifics, just mention the benefit. People will have to buy your product to find out the background behind the bullet points. Examples of bullets include the “How To” bullet, “The Secret to” bullet, “The one single” bullet,

10. Testimonials. Give proof. Show statistics. Give numbers. Give testimonials from successful people in the niche. Video testimonials give you the most credibility because they are the hardest to fake. If you write a testimonial make sure to put a picture of the person in the testimonial.

11. Value justification. Highlight the value of the offer. Don’t focus on the price. Focus on the benefits.

12. Risk reversal. This is the guarantee. Convince them that if it doesn’t work for them then you will give them their money back. Use fresh language for the return terms.

13. Bonuses. Bonuses are the unexpected items that people will receive if they buy your product. Bonuses add steam to your sales letter that motivates your prospects to buy your product. The bonuses should all relate to what you are selling and should enhance the value.

14. Offer and the call to action. Tell the readers exactly what action they need to take to order your product. Your offer gives specifics. Don’t be shy. Give them a distinct offer.

15. The P.S.. The P.S. is often overlooked. Think carefully about your P.S. Sometimes people skim your sales letter and only look at the P.S. Put your offer and call to action in the P.S.

“Basic Elements of an Online Sales Letter – Part I”

There are 15 basic elements of an online sales letter. Following is a list of the first 7 elements. Do you employ these elements in your sales letter? Read on to find out.

First 7 basic elements of an online sales letter:
1. The first part of your sales letter is the “Pre-Head”. This is where you target the prime prospects for your offer and grab their attention. For example, a pre-head could be “Attention Arthritis Sufferers.”

2. Headline – Many people don’t use a headline and need to! The purpose of the headline is to get people to read the rest of the ad. Headlines may seem like a lot of hype, however many people often keep reading based on the headline.

3. The deck copy. The deck is right under the headline. It is a paragraph that is centered with darker text, but is not the body. It reinforces the headline and arouses more curiosity. You can build credibility in the deck.

4. The body of the sales letter. The body is the bulk of the text.

5. Subheads. These are smaller headlines. Their job is to separate the major sections of your sales letter and keep people reading. This is also known as the “bucket brigade”. Your copy needs to have its own bucket brigade that is designed to keep you reading. Every section is tied together by the subhead.

There are three things that people never do when they come to your copy:
1. Never read anything at first.
2. Never believe anything at first.
3. Never do anything at first.

Remember, people are going to scan, skim, and scroll your sales letter. The subheads help catch their eye on the topic they desire. For example, a reader may scan down the sales letter to the price of your product. This helps them to determine quickly whether or not they want to keep reading your sales letter.

6. The lead. The lead sets the criteria regarding who the sales letter is for and what they gain by reading it. The lead can be a story, bullet point facts, or in an “If..then” format.

7. Rapport. This is where you demonstrate that you know the readers’ pain. You talk to them in language that they would use to describe their problem. You want to identify common experiences.

Read through your sales letter and make sure you have these basic elements!

“The Secrets of Effective Copywriting.”

Copywriting is the master key to realizing the dreams you are chasing.

You must ask yourself this important question – “What outcome do you want that will make you and your business successful?” For example, do you want financial freedom? Do you want a flexible schedule? Do you want to give more money to charity? Write down one outcome that you want to happen.

The simplest way to get from where you are to where you want to go is to use the power of leverage. For example, you borrow money to buy a house. If you don’t pay your mortgage then you have to move out. This is the negative side of leverage. However, you can use positive leverage to your advantage.

Upside leverage, on the other hand, involves little risk. Examples would be to learn how to be more efficient and how to change the words in your copy so that it produces more sales for the same advertising dollars spent. An example would be to change a headline in your ad which doubles sales. This is a benefit of positive leverage.

Copywriting can bring you the life you desire. You can leverage your writing skills to make copywriting work for you. There is a formula for online success. Education married together with action and application is invaluable. This combination is worth its weight in gold. Investing in education that you can apply is priceless.

Natural copywriters don’t know all the rules, but they can still write words that make people take action. You want to write copy that makes people want to take action such as buying your product.

The value of good copy is extremely high. You need to know the difference between somebody who is grammatically correct and somebody that is a good copywriter. For example, somebody who is grammatically correct will write “They did well.” On the other hand, somebody that is a good copywriter will write “They did good.” For effective copy run away from somebody that has good grammar. Instead, opt for the person that writes “They did good” because it sounds more natural and language based.

You should have a set of standards to determine who you are going to learn from. Learn from copywriters that have garnered tens of thousands, even millions of dollars, for their clients based on their copy. Use these copywriting skills on your own website so you can rake in the millions of dollars as well.

Video Blog Tip #2: Use Sony Movie Studio to create video Blogs. This is the recommended software that both novice and experts will enjoy using.

Video Blog Tip #3: Creating video Blogs should be a goal, but not at first. Why? Videos take more time and effort. Master text and audio Blogs before you move on to video Blogs. You want to make sure that you understand the ins and outs of Blogs before you step up to advanced video Blogs.

Tip #6: A challenge about getting video and audio information to your Blog is FTP. FTP simply uploads the media to your Blog. You can find FTP programs that are simple to use. FTP programs are much easier to use then they were even a few years ago, so don’t be afraid of the FTP technology.

“The Muscle of Classified Internet Ads”

Have you mastered the art of press releases? Do you want another commanding tool that will drive traffic to your website? Then get ready to try something that will increase your website traffic through classified Internet ads. Classified Internet ads should be used in addition to press releases.

So what are the advantages of classified Internet ads? First of all, classified Internet ads are easy to search for. This means that when an Internet user types in keywords into Google your classified Ad will be found very easily. One beneficial side effect of being more searchable is that your ranking in Google will shoot to the top. Google’s web crawlers will find your classified Internet ad quickly and give you prime placement in their search engine listings.

Classified Internet ads allow you to have more copy then a traditional ad in print. This means that you can say more with your ad, but keep the costs minimal or free. This is not true in print media where you often pay per word or number of lines.

Classified Internet ads give you instant publicity. You can quickly publicize your website to the world. Plus, you can place classified Internet ads for free. Free publicity and exposure is extremely powerful.

Classified Internet ads can also be more than just an ad. For example, you can find classified Internet ad services that allow you to create a profile and accompanying website. Just think – a website that you can create easily and for free! You just have to be aware of any rules of the classified Internet ad websites you use. For example, sometimes you have to update your classified ad every few months.

So where can I run a classified Internet ad? There are several websites you can use. Try www.hoobly.com.

What should I include in the copy for a classified Internet ad? Your classified Internet ad should capture a reader’s attention. Use your top producing keywords. At the bottom of the ad make sure to include your contact information and website link.
