If you have followed what I have been saying for a long time about the importance of article marketing, you know that I only preach this because I know it works. If you’ve been submitting your articles to gain article rankings as well as other subscription directory sites, I commend you. Not only are you growing your business by increasing your traffic numbers, but you are also ensuring that you’ll be achieving greater revenues for your business. And on top of all of this, if you add blogging to your list of things, you are really sailing! But the question remains, what else can you do? Can you do more? Absolutely! There is always more you can do.

Marketing does not stop with one technique. There are a ton of things you can do to market your online business. I would suggest either setting up a Google AdWords campaign and start using Google AdWords to get traffic to your website. This is one of the very best marketing methods because you can see results fairly quickly. But also, video marketing has also become very useful as well and can improve your traffic and sales numbers tenfold!

Now if you are considering changing your articles into videos and submitting them to various video sites like YouTube or Google Video, one of the tricks I highly recommend is to make sure you have the link to whatever page you want your visitor to go to. In your video, don’t just supply them with a link to the home page of the website you want them to visit. Direct them to the actual page within your website for further information on the topic you discuss in your video.

Make sure also that your keywords are in your description so that you can ensure that you gain a good amount of traffic to your page. A clearly thought out keyword list and description can make all the difference in how much your video is being viewed. But most importantly, the content within your video must engage and compel your viewer to want to click on the link that you supply them with.

So, if you’re not using pay-per-click advertising or video advertising to leverage your marketing efforts, I highly suggest you get on it right away!

Having a financial loss can set you back tenfold if you don’t think outside the box. I recently had a conversation with a student of mine who lost everything in a fire including the hundreds of books she’d illustrated and written. She was an established writer and had been published. She also was a true expert in her niche and already had a website with kits and tools to teach others. She wanted to know how to make some money quickly to pay for some costs that were not covered by her insurance company. She also had a deadline where she wanted to make $4500 to cover costs she had. I give her tons of credit for being such a go-getter and writing a book about her experience. She was writing a book about how to deal with insurance companies after disaster. She not only wanted to help people, but she was using her experience to make money. Now that’s an innovative mind. But, could this concept work for her?

When you want to establish a business online and make money quickly you need to utilize your expertise and your knowledge you currently already have and not look outside yourself. You can basically shave off a lot of time this way since you don’t need any training or need to gain any knowledge or credibility. In this woman’s case, I don’t think she needs to write a book about her recent experience. Although a good concept, she has more to offer then that. She needs to use what she already has.

If you want to make money quickly online, brainstorm and think about what you’re good at and what you already naturally have experience in. In this particular case, this student of mine she doesn’t need any credibility because she already has her extensive writing experience backing her up. She’s published and illustrated over 400 books! That’s more than enough experience and credibility. So, looking at your existing skills and expertise is what’s going to be one of the quickest ways for you to start making money online.

Now, what could she do to gain some cash fairly quickly? Well, if you’re in a similar situation you have do options. If you had a bunch of people to mail for you, you could probably make that money back in no time at all. If you had your own list then there is no limit to how much you could make. But assuming that you don’t have a list, you could look for joint venture opportunities. Since you’re pretty much already in the business, it would be easy for you to establish your credibility – and in this womans case, because of your existing website. And since she’s got samples of writing, as well as kits, she’s already much further ahead than other people in her situation.

All of these different things, make her the perfect person that someone would not hesitate to joint venture with. I also suggested that she get testimonials from those people who she has worked with in the past to vouch for her expertise. If you are in a similar situation I highly suggest you try this strategy. Getting accolades and praise for your work ethic and skill-set will set you apart from any other potential JV partner simply because you’ve “done it” and are a recognized and experienced writer who has the credibility to back up your claims.

Remember, if you want to start out online, use your existing expertise to put your credibility and experience upfront so that you can become established online right away. This is one of the quickest ways to make money.

If you have a product that’s a software of some sort, one of the best ways to make quick sales is by offering a free-trial. You can do this by creating a video. In the video you can show a demonstration of how your product works. What you could do is say something like; “Hey, thank you very much for taking my free-trial offer”. And after your visitor has tried your free trial you’ll say;

“Thank you very much. If you get started right now, you can get this price.” Mention how much of a percentage they’ll save if they take you up on your offer to purchase your product now. You could say something like, “get it now for $14.95.” And then after they do that, then have them go to the next page. So, the next page, after they put in their PayPal information, they’re going to land on the next thank you page. The next thank you page will give them another offer so that they can save even more money. It could say something like,

“Tell you what. Why don’t you go ahead and why don’t you just pay off your balance now!” This will allow you to make more money upfront and make more sales! Tell them that if they purchase now for a full year and pay off their balance, tell them that you’ll give them a full year for 60% off. So basically, you’re going to apply their $14.75 towards the year offer. Then say, “…your total price will only be an additional X amount of dollars.” Of course you’ll tell them the exact number in order to get the higher conversion. Make it really simple for your prospect.

That’s exactly how I would do it. The more simplistic you can make it, the easier it’s going to be for them to understand. Now, what you could do is, after they purchase or after they opt in (because you’ve got their email address), then you can use that tell-a-friend script on your site. Say something like, “Hey, listen, I’ll tell you what. If you want to send a couple of your friends my way, I’ll go ahead and give you a coupon for this particular product offer.” And make sure that the coupon has a good enough discount for them to want to tell a friend about your products or services.

Remember, simple and subtle marketing tactics such as these can make all of the difference in your sales results. Try this method for yourself and see if your sales improve.
