Can a Newbie Affiliate Make $5000 to $10,000 in Their First 30 Days?

Is it really possible to pull in a whopping $5000 to $10,000 dollars as an affiliate marketer in 30 days? I was recently asked this question by one of my students. And I can honestly say that I don’t even think I did it in my first 60 days of being online. So, I thought I’d get that out of the way to make things as real as possible for my readers. Although many marketers will sell you on how easy it is to make money online using their tactics, many of them do fail to tell you that you’ll have to invest quite a bit of your time to make it happen. When I started out online, I focused on one thing, and this one thing was probably one of the best things that I ever did. I focused on building my list. Building your list is going to be the biggest key element to making things happen.

Now, in this article, I’m going to do something a bit different. I’m basically going to use this article as a case study example explaining how a student who wanted to target one niche and then branch off into another set up his business. I thought I’d explain this particular situation because I believe it will help others either thinking of doing the same thing, or just helping someone who is considering using the same strategy in their own market. I think the things that I discuss will help you carefully think through your strategies and in your marketing plan. Examples and real life experiences are one of the best ways to learn about what things work and what things don’t.

So, to begin, I had a student who had decided to enter the recovery from addiction niche. They then wanted to branch off and later sell self-help products to this same niche. And my advice was to ditch that idea. I don’t think that the addiction recovery niche as a big money making niche. What I recommended they do, was since they were talking about getting into the self-development niche, I suggested they actually totally focus on the self-development niche first. The likelihood of them getting to that mark is going to be a lot higher focusing on that niche first, than it is just focusing on the other and trying to convert recovery addicts to the self-help arena. It’s very important that you focus on where the money is. There is more money in self-development than there is in the addiction niche. If you look at every magazine or book ever written on the topic, that’s proof alone.

Now in order to earn between $5000 U.S. And $10,000 U.S., they would need to focus on the self-help niche because it’s a hot money-making niche. They also need to really focus on building that list. Having a list of people who are targeted to your market and who you can sell to again and again, is the key factor in building a profitable business. The fastest way to make that money in affiliate marketing is going to be through your list. I don’t know if you’d even want to waste your time and your energy focusing on creating blogs or focusing on creating articles and driving traffic to those pages. Your main goal is to set-up an opt-in page so that you can collect the names and email addresses of hot prospects who may be willing to purchase your products and/or services. You want to be able to market to these individuals well into the future, that’s why it’s so important to establish a relationship with them.

Although building a list is going to take some money and a little more time, it is well worth it in the end. I did it and look where I am today! You can do it too!
