Best Ways to Network and Joint Venture

I always say this and I truly believe that going to networking type seminars are one of, if not, the best ways to find joint venture partners. That is not to say that other methods aren’t effective, but even in this day and age, nothing beats face-to-face communication.

Through my participation at the last Big Seminar I met a number of great contacts and joint ventured with five of them. These partnerships have netted me a quarter of a million dollars so far. So, you tell me if this method is effective!!

I get a number of people telling me that they can’t really afford the time and expense of travelling to different networking events, especially if they have to travel half way across the country to get to them.

I totally understand this and I was definitely of the same mindset years ago, but I realized that in order to take the “next step” in my internet marketing journey, I had to surround myself with like-minded people to keep the entrepreneurial juices flowing. I too struggled with the costs of some of these events, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take a chance. Sure, not everything that you attend may be great, but if you never attend any you may never know how much more financially successful you could be.

Every business that anybody starts has costs associated with it. Of course some are more than others, but you get my point. However, if you are spending your limited financial resources on things that have the potential to catapult your income, I would say that you are probably making a wise investment.

It is no different then paying to go to college or university, except the contacts that you can probably come out of a networking event with, can have an immediate impact on your future

Are Name Squeeze Pages Only Meant for Certain Types of Products?

If you are considering having a name squeeze page also known as an autoresponder or opt-in page to sell a product you’re definitely on the right track! Meeting the Needs of Your Customers

The businesses that succeed are usually the ones that are able to identify a need in the marketplace and then find a solution to cater to that need. This involves an entrepreneurial leader who is open-minded and creative and is willing to take calculated risks in order to bring about a more prosperous future.

If your online efforts are going nowhere fast, even though you’ve put your heart and soul into building your business, then maybe it’s time to stop and evaluate your business model.

Many people get caught up in the fact that they have spent numerous hours trying to develop their business ideas and by goodness they are going to work! Come on, this type of mentality won’t get you anywhere. Instead, it may help you to just step back and look at the bigger picture. Ask yourself if there is demand for what you are offering. If you did your proper research before you started you should already have your answer. However, a lot of times what happens is the demand for a particular product or service dwindles down to nothing or the focus has shifted to another area or aspect of the business.

No one said life or business was easy. A lot of times it is a struggle. But consider what your alternatives are and why you started your online pursuit in the first place.

You were possibly attracted to the freedom a successful online business could bring you that you weren’t necessarily experiencing at the time. However, now that you’ve put so much time and energy into it you realize you haven’t got much in return.

Did you know the average start-up doesn’t turn a profit for the first five years and many don’t even complete year one! So, what is the difference between the winners and the losers? Well, I can’t say exactly but what I do know is that it pays to do your research and find out what your customers needs are before you spend countless hours developing what you think they need.

Don’t be afraid to ask your customers what they are looking for and by all means check the demand on an ongoing basis to make sure you are current and on the cutting edge. Business success comes with a lot of hard work, patience and persistence. So, if you are not achieving the level of success you had hoped for don’t despair, just come up with a better strategy. A Good Benchmark on Conversion Rate Percentages

No matter what online business you are involved in you want your visitors to take action by becoming paying customers, subscribing to your newsletter, registering their information for lead generation or simply getting them to your site to promote your brand. All of these endeavours need to be seen in your conversion rate. Conversion rate measures your ability to convince your visitors to take the action that you desire.

The more you can improve your website or ads pulling power through your copywriting and marketing efforts, the more this will be evident in your conversion rates. However, when you are focusing on your Adwords campaign you really want to make sure your ads are targeted to exactly what it is you have to offer. By doing this you eliminate most of the “lookers” and spend your advertising dollars only on the most qualified leads. So, make your ads as descriptive as possible, focused and at the same time attractive.

As always, make sure you test and track to see which pieces of information or configurations work the best to attract qualified leads while reducing your click through rates, costs per click, and improving the amount of conversions you receive.

What is a good conversion rate?

Well, as a general rule, getting anything over 15 or 20 % conversions is really good. If you are hitting 80% you’re doing remarkable! However, even if you are doing 10% you’re still doing quite well. Keep in mind that the average sales letter out there only generates one percent or less, so even at ten percent you are still in good company.

Another thing you want to keep in mind is if someone’s paying more than you for a specific keyword(s), it does not mean that your ad won’t show up at all, it simply means that you will not get a top position. So, when you’re bidding for your keywords always remember to test. See if your ad shows up on the first page. If it does not, then you know you will probably have to increase your bid. Having ads on other pages other than page one get a lot less impressions and even less clicks. So, before you do any testing and tracking make sure you take care of the positioning of your ad first.

Doing all these things should help you to achieve your desired results while cutting costs and increasing revenues. Remember, a little extra effort on your part can work wonders on your bottom line.

The Importance of Text Links

When we view various websites we see often see various links throughout the pages like product links, home page links and keyword links. But the question is: does the type of link you have to your web pages place any relevance on your page rank? Well, the answer is unequivocally yes! Text links can drive your site to the top of the search engines if you are aware what keyword text should be placed within your links.

When submitting articles, press releases, site signatures etc., it’s best to not only place your actual website address domain in your hyperlink for example www.yourdomain.com. However, it’s best to place one of your sites keywords as a text link that leads to your website. For example for my website www.powerfulpromoter.com, instead of me linking to my site by exactly stating my domain as www.powerfulpromoter.com and pointing to my website, it’s best if I use keywords from my niche to help me rank higher in the search engines. For example, take the word “internet marketing strategies”. Basically, if I use these keywords to hyperlink to my site, I’m getting a vote from the search engines for the word “internet marketing strategies”. This vote will help my page rank placement. The more votes I get the better my ranking. By turning “internet marketing strategies” into a hyperlink to my webpage instead of just putting my URL, I’ll be increasing my page rank exponentially. The search engines are seeing the value in my site simply because I used a strong keyword from my niche.

Now you must remember that this is not only done for one search engine and not another. All of the key players use this ranking system for website placement. So, it doesn’t matter whether you are using MSN, Yahoo or Google – even smaller search engines like Excite, MIVA and others use this strategy in their “voting” system.

So, if you are submitting articles and press releases or even marketing materials that you are giving to your affiliates to help promote your products always pay attention to your linking strategies. Use this text link strategy to help increase your own page rank. Use this strategy in all of your promotional efforts and it will feed the search engines and in turn improve your search placement.

Being up to date and aware of what the search engines look for in a good website is essential to growing your business. Doing simple improvements to your website through keyword text linking can mean the difference between a top ranked site and one that doesn’t get noticed at all.
Take the time to be informed and do your due diligence and it will pay off in the end. Your business is worth it!

They understand that in order to be hired you need to see a mock up first to ensure they can clearly interpret what it is you want and as close to your specifics as possible. You want someone who can do the job! The potential contractor will gladly throw up their design idea for your website based on the specifics you provided to them in the hopes that they’ll be hired. Once you take a look at all of your submissions you can then choose the one you’re most happy with. That’s the best way to outsource your job. This is how I find my best contractors.

Take the time to get as many bids as possible. But more importantly, test your contractors! This will ensure you properly leverage your time and money.

How Long Should a Good Sales Letter Be?

You’ve probably purchased things that did or didn’t work off of infomercials or sales letters and now you want to create a letter of your own that grabs people’s attention and keeps it . You know as well as anyone that it’s not necessarily the product that sells, but more importantly how you go about selling the product.

So, the question is how long should a sales letter be? Well, the answer to that is not that simple to answer because it really depends on what you are selling. However, what is most important is that you add a little humor, ask questions complete with answers, make promises, list as many features and benefits as you can think of and create a need that your audience never even knew they had!

Try to be creative and engaging. This is a very important lesson you need to learn the next time you write a sales letter. The letter will never be too long if it accomplishes this. Just think of a good movie you’ve seen. The movie may have been three hours long, but because it kept taking you through a roller-coaster of emotions it kept you interested enough that you paid no attention to the time.

Some “marketers” with zero confidence in their sales ability choose to believe that people have no interest in reading a ten page sales letter and therefore keep their letters down to a page. They fear that people don’t really want to hear what they have to say and they fear rejection. Folks, this is definitely NOT the way to approach things.

What you have to realize is that readers will stick around as long as you are saying something that keeps them interested, identifies their problem(s) and demonstrates how they can overcome them.

Sometimes a single page letter is all that is needed for simple lead-generation. In that case it is fine to keep it short. However, if your product or service is more complex and you may be faced with a lot of scepticism from your reader, you have to overcome this. So, write as many pages as you have to to get your message across. This is simply what you have to do to make the sale.
Always remember to be yourself, be human, be interesting and engaging and you will never have any problems keeping your audiences attention.
