Four Methods for Getting Traffic

A common question from many new website owners is “how can I get traffic to my website?” Well, there are various things you can do to get traffic to your website. The top five methods that I personally use are pay-per-click advertising, joint ventures, articles
, cost per action (CPA) advertising, and then cost-per-view advertising which is commonly referred to as CPV. And out of all of these methods, the two things that I’d really recommend you doing, is CPV advertising. Although CPA is not for everybody, it’s a good traffic generation method. But CPV is a special traffic source that I use and I pay for traffic based on the number of people that view my ad. If you have some money set aside for advertising, I strongly recommend this method because it can result in a good amount of traffic.

Joint ventures is another great method to use in that you allow other website owners to send out an email on your behalf. It allows you to get targeted traffic instantly. However of course, this involves you giving your joint venture an incentive to take you up on your offer. That may be by you giving them a commission based upon the number of sales they produce for promoting your product. But another way is paying to advertise with them. Joint venturing also known as JV’ing is a great way to target your market immediately, because you’re leveraging the traffic from sites in the same niche as you. This can save you a ton of time finding people who are interested in your product offerings. If you offer a great product and great information, it’s one of the best ways to gain a following.

Now, another very powerful traffic tactic that many website owners fail to do on a regular basis is article marketing. Distributing articles to article directory websites, is one of the best ways to gain natural search engine traffic by providing informative article content. Articles are great because it’s something that you can control. There are actually five things you need to do to write a good article for the search engines. You’ve got to write the title, the summary, the content, the bio/resource box, and then you’ve got to come up with your keywords. Once you have that article, then you can take that article and you can submit that article to article submission locations. Articles are very powerful at grabbing traffic.
