“If you’re new to the internet it’s almost impossible to make money online”. That statement is completely false. I’m sure those who claim that are the ones who have failed online simply because they didn’t put in the effort. In any event, I am asked quite often if it is actually possible to make money online if you are new to the internet. Let me start by saying absolutely YES! But it takes some planning. The first thing you want to do when you are starting out is to pick your niche or rather your market. If you’re going to start building your list of subscribers it’s obvious that one of the first things you need to do is decide on your niche.
Once you’ve decided on a niche, the next thing you should do is create a squeeze page aka an opt-in page where people can enter their name and email address to subscribe to whatever it is you are offering them. Once you’ve created a squeeze page, you’re going to have to go and purchase a domain name. You can go to www.000domains.com to see if the name you want is available.
Once you’ve got your new domain name, the next thing you’ll want to get an auto-responder. There are many software autoresponder programs available. One very good one is Aweber located at www.aweber.com. After you get the auto-responder, you want to combine it with your squeeze page. The auto-responder you create will generate the form code that you need to put on your squeeze page or your opt-in page so that people can opt in there. Once you do that, then you need to start driving traffic to your new site.
Now, where can you find things so you can start making money once you have your list?
Affiliate programs are an excellent start. They allow you to make a percentage of the sale if you sell their product on your website. However, you first need to build a relationship with your list so that they trust you and want to buy from you. You’ve got to send them love so to speak. Let them know that you care about them, that you’re going to take care of them, but also make sure that you let them know, “Hey, you’re not just on here to get love from me – to get information from me for free. You’re also on here to make me money.” So start making offers soon and as frequently as possible. That’s where you’re going to make the most money. The more emails you send out, the more money you’re going to make – I guarantee it.
Some other places you can look arein the private member’s area of my site. You can find affiliate programs that you can sign up for. Other places you can find affiliate programs is Clickbank.com, Amazon.com, or you can do a search on the internet for affiliate programs in your niche.
Let’s say you choose the health field. You say, “Okay, I want to get in the health area, the health arena, the health niche.” Then you do a search online and say, “Health affiliate programs.” You will find affiliate programs. You’ll find things that you think look good and then you’ll see if they have promotional emails available to their affiliates so that you can send them out to your list to offer their products and services. If they do, sign up for their affiliate program and start sending out their emails out to your subscribers.
You eventually want to get to the point where you start creating your own products and services because that’s really going to help you generate additional income. However, remember, if you’re totally new the first thing is getting your squeeze page up and running. For example’s of squeeze pages you can visit www.unlimited-leads.com or www.promotingtips.com . The length of your squeeze page is up to you, but I use the longer squeeze page to allow those people that aren’t familiar with me a chance to know more about what I do. One thing I have to say is, please don’t copy it word-for-word. That’ll really tick me off.
What you do is you go to the page, select the whole page, copy it and paste it into an editor something like Nvu. Open up Nvu and you can edit it like you would edit Microsoft Word. Now, you want to change all the words inside there but keep the formatting.
Replace my headline with your headline. Where I have a testimonial box, throw in a testimonial of your own. Then you have to change the form, of course, because you don’t want me to get your people. Change the form to go to your auto-responder. Once you do that you can log into my site and go to a place where it says, “Pulling everything all together” and that’ll help you progress from there.
