Need to Know How to Get Twitter Followers?

Every entrepreneur wants to expand the recognition of their business and services, and when you get Twitter followers, you can be sure this will happen – as long as you provide helpful information and value.  While there are endless ways to go about it, it really isn’t as hard as it may seem.  There are simple little things you can do, such as connecting your blogs and other social media profiles to your Twitter page.  Invite people to Twitter with you on your website, forums, even in your email signatures.

While many people, especially newbies, tend to think the more they tweet the more followers they will get, this isn’t necessarily true.  Frequency really doesn’t have that much to do with it, but contributing information that helps others and is perceived as valuable does.  Be sure to share relevant, informative, up-to-date, and interesting content.

When you share great content, you will likely get “re-tweeted”. That is, other twitter users will share your tweets with their followers, and link to your twitter profile. When someone see’s a retweet they like, if they aren’t already following you, chances are they will check out your profile and follow you when they see you are interesting.

Another thing you may want to consider is becoming known for your unique brand or business outside of Twitter, then sending traffic to your profile using your list.  Spamming is definitely not the answer and you don’t want to follow a herd of people simply to get them to follow you back. You should target specific people in your niche to follow versus blind mass following, which doesn’t work.

When you are viewed as a spammer on Twitter, you aren’t likely to develop a good reputation, which is really what you are after when you are serious about building your business. Trust me on this one.
