Are You Using an Article Marketing Strategy?

Blog Posts

Most online marketers use articles to drive traffic and demonstrate their knowledge in their market, but they may not be implementing an effective article marketing strategy.  How should you use your articles in other ways that drive traffic and influence your standing as an expert in your niche?

There are several ways to do this, and you may want to use one or all.  If you are writing articles and posting them to one or two directories, you are losing out on valuable benefits of repurposing your article.

When you write articles, not only should you submit them to several of the high ranking directories, you should also publish them on your site.  While duplicate content is still something that isn’t clear to most, you may want to change your article up just a bit, so that you don’t have the same one posted on your site as what you have submitted to the directories.

Another great article marketing strategy is to create short blog posts with just a smidgeon of information and then link to your article so that your reader can get all of the information they are looking for.  This has been a success strategy for Matt Bacak, who is well known in the field of  Internet Marketing.

If you want to link to your articles so that they show up higher in the search engines for specific keywords, you can link to them from your blogs, sites, Squidoo lenses, Hubpages – anywhere you can think of.  You may also want to bookmark some of them on sites like Delicious, Furl and Reddit.

Articles are a marketers best friend, especially when you figure out dozens of ways to use them.  Still using your articles just for directory submissions?  Put your imagination in gear and develop an article marketing strategy that will set your traffic and business on fire!  Content is king and using your articles for a variety of purposes is sure to change the pulse of your online business.

what do you think of this outline?

I am kind of torn between the two methods.

Hope to hear back from ya.

Nice article Matt, you’re right about repurposing articles as blog posts as a neat and clean way to create more content.

But I think as a technique isn’t it somewhat limited? Surely after a time your readers would begin to notice that you’ve “change[d] your article up just a bit” and react against the perceived regurgitation of information?

    What do you think?
