Today sets a new path for Microsoft. Today they have started there path to transform themselves into a Open Source friendly vendor. Today after yesterdays removal of Fronpage Extensions from there technology offerings, Microsoft released the binaries for there Office line of products. This can be a boon for developers looking to build applications that integrate with the office line as well as read and write office format’s. It will be interesting to see how far and how fast Microsoft attempts to reengineer it’s image.
