“Don’t fall for these 4 Website Traffic Mistakes”

You can have the greatest website in the world, but if nobody knows about it then you will fail. It’s like having a billboard in the desert that nobody sees.

Not all website traffic is created equal. There is general traffic and targeted traffic. General traffic will have a low sales conversion of 1% or less. Targeted traffic often yields a much higher sales conversion rate of 4% and higher. Most websites rely on general traffic and have a pitiful sales conversion rate of 0.5%.

Four common things that people fall for when they go online:

1. They think that high conversion rates are the norm. You will not get 10% or higher sales conversion all the time. This is virtually impossible.

2. They spend money on unnecessary website traffic programs. Programs and websites that claim they can send you thousands of website visitors within 24 hours are garbage. They might send you traffic, but it is general traffic full of people that won’t buy anything. You will waste your money on these website traffic programs.

3. They are happy with general traffic. This is a mistake. Instead, focus on obtaining targeted traffic. It is not the quantity of traffic your website receives, but the quality. You want people who are eager and hungry for your niche and the products you create.

4. They don’t care about the quality of the their website visitors. The quality of your website visitors determines how much money you will make. It will determine how many sales you make, how many repeat customers you have, and so on.

The best type of traffic method is through referrals. You can generate referrals by running your own affiliate program. Try to set one up if you can. You set up your own affiliate program through websites such as Clickbank. Clickbank will deal with payment and the details for you. This is an affordable and easy way to create your own affiliate program. In the future, you can run your own affiliate program using 1ShoppingCart.

If you need to generate targeted website traffic within minutes then use pay-per-click advertising. Pay-per-click advertising means you run ads on other people’s websites. You can accomplish this through Google AdWords. Your advertisement appears on related websites. Your advertisement will have a link. People click on this link and are sent to your website. You pay each time a website visitor actually clicks on your Google Ad link.
