Press releases are one of the best ways to get quality traffic to a website and greater publicity for a cause. There are certain channels that you can use when submitting press releases, some of which entail searching the internet for press release platforms. Most of these are self-serve meaning that you need to submit all your press releases by yourself. If you have money to invest, you can use the better quality premium press release platforms. On the other hand, you can use the various free ones if you are looking to maximize free traffic sources.

One of the most popular and effective press release platforms is the Google News. Getting your Google press releases published effectively makes you a Google news provider. Google has made the submission process very easy since all you’ll need to send in your contact information, URL of the press release and the topic being served. Google has terms and conditions that they adhere to meaning that they will not accept all Google press releases. Reading through them will keep you from making an unacceptable press release. That being said, the submission process is as follows.

Go to the Google news site i.e. news.google.com. You should see a ‘Help’ link at the bottom of the home page. Clicking it will give you options on how to submit your Google press releases. In this page, you will see an ‘Email us’ option that allows you to either suggest news content or report an update for already published Google press releases. Clicking on either of the options will generate a list of questions regarding the Google press releases. You should answer them truthfully because these answers determine whether or not the submission process will be successful. It is at this stage where you will be notified that viable Google press releases are those on mobile sites, YouTube or third party websites. Also, they will not accept press releases that have been published by other users i.e. duplicate content.

Answering all the questions will take you to a form where you will be able to provide important information about the Google press releases in question. This information includes the details of the website containing the press releases i.e. name, URL, City, country, province, topic etc. You should also remember to choose the ‘press release’ option. The next step is you submitting your contact details like i.e. name, email address, subject etc. After filling in this information, recheck it to ensure accuracy and click the ‘submit’ button found at the bottom of the page.

All Google press releases are examined by humans meaning that they will not be published immediately. You may need to wait for a short while as Google representatives read through it and decide whether to publish it or not. This information will be sent to you in an email. Approval means that you will start enjoying quality traffic as people read the Google press releases and visit your site for more information.
