With options 2 and 3, you don’t have to be the expert or know anything about the subject. You can take on the role of “reporter” instead.

An additional option for creating content leveraging someone else’s expertise is to interview someone.

You don’t have to actually talk to the expert, just send them a list of questions in an email and they’ll return them with the answers.

However, the “in” thing lately is to actually talk to someone on the phone and turn it into an audio MP3. This has more value than a written document or PDF.

But again, that’s optional.

It’s time to setup a sales page that convinces browsers to become buyers.

So again, you have options…

1. Do it yourself
2. Pay someone else to do it

Time to set it up so that you can take orders.

Now looking at the people that start implementing comes another cross roads because they are going to try things and they are not going to work for them and/or they decide to move forward or they decide to quit.

At that point you must make a decision whether it is better to ask yourself this question: Do you want to build wealth or do you want to build an organization?

Key Advice on Website Focus

Having a website that gets little traffic can be nerve-wracking, especially if you’re putting in the time and effort but not seeing any results. If you’re getting low traffic numbers on a daily basis, like averaging around 50 unique visitors a day, you need to re-focus where you’re putting your energy.

I had a student who was having this same problem. He had a blog, and was unsure where to focus his time. He only had three hours a day to work on it. However, he was puzzled by his low traffic numbers and just wanted to know which area of his website that he should place the most attention. He didn’t know whether to focus on traffic, content, links, conversion or monetization. What he needed was a system and a schedule that could hone in on the things that were going to produce the best results. He even questioned whether or not he should start all over again from scratch and research a new niche and forget blogging and just focus on having a squeeze page. These were all very good questions and concerns. He had a good point. But right off the bat, I did suggest moving his focus away from blogging.

Now if you have a site where you’re not generating the traffic you had anticipated, it’s very important to make sure that you set up an opt-in page with a free giveaway. Make sure that this giveaway is something that your market will find very useful and an offer that’s almost too good to be true. This will not only help to build your list, but it will also help gain you popularity and loyalty from your list. If you have a site, you don’t necessarily have to drop everything you’ve done. If you do have a market with energy and motivation, that’s a good thing. But if you’ve solely been concentrating on blogging, redirect your energy. A blog is not going to build you a business. Forget about blogging and start focusing on your squeeze page and driving traffic to your squeeze page.

Having a squeeze page (also known as an opt-in page), is extremely important because it allows you to capture the names and email addresses of your visitors. This will help you make money with offers that you can email to your list well into the future. So, you need to focus specifically on getting traffic to your squeeze page, increasing the conversion of that page, getting your opt-ins up and focusing on building that list. That’s going to be the best decision you’re going to be able to make.

The purpose of your blog, in one sense, is not only to help you – to pull your squeeze page up higher in the search engines and linking to it, but also to have an opt-in form there so that you can get people opting in as well. But just so you’re aware, I don’t know that many people that make a lot of money from Web 2.0 stuff like blogging. Tips on Split Testing for Conversions

My internet marketing students ask me all the time to visit their sites and offer any suggestions, tips and tweaks that I think would work well for them. I have no problem with this. I actually look forward to see what they are working on and am honored to give them my advice to help them increase their conversions. Sometimes, just making small changes can work wonders and other times it may require a lot more work. However, when making changes and seeing improvements in your conversion rates, how do you really know when to stop tweaking? Or should you just leave it alone for a while and drive more traffic to it?

Now, this is a where many people get lost. They know they need to test, but they don’t really know how to set that up and therefore give up before trying. Well, quite honestly, split testing is a very easy thing to do. It is so brain-dead simple that everybody should be doing it.

The first thing you need to do is create something such as a squeeze page or sales page. After you have completed that, create another similar page, but this time you are going to change it up a bit. Next, do a search to find the free Google Website Optimizer tool. Once you’ve landed there, you will have to set up a Website Optimizer account which again, is very easy and straight forward. After you sign up for Google Website Optimizer and when you’re in your account, you go to A/B Experiment, A Simple Way to Start Split Testing. It will say, “Choose the page that you want to test. Create alternative versions of the page.” And then basically what you do is you identify your conversion page, and that’s pretty much it. It’s really simple to do.

Let’s say you created an opt-in page. The first thing it’s going to ask you to do is is to name your experiment. You’re going to name it “Opt-in Page”. Let’s just use that in this example. Now what it’s going to do is ask you to identify the pages that you want to test. Let’s just say you’re doing an A/B split test. That means you’re running one web page against another. So, you have your original one, and then you create a new one. Now you’re going to type in the name of the original URL. Basically, you’ve just got to take action and do it. Then after you’ve set up your two pages that you want to split test, you then click to continue, and Website Optimizer will guide you through each step and give you the exact code to add to your pages so that you can test them.

Setting this up is a no-brainer, therefore, there should be no excuses at all for anybody not to be able to do it on their own, and especially if I tell you should. I would honestly say split test is one of the best ways to add extra money in your bank account.

Tips on Getting Traffic to Your Squeeze Page

How do you get the first piece of traffic to go to your squeeze page?

To get the first lead to your website, you’re going to have to do multiple different things to get people and search engines to find you. The first thing I recommend if you have some extra money set aside, is to set up a Google AdWords account. These are the ads that appear on the right side of the page whenever you do a search in Google or on different websites that are related to your business. Once you register with Google, inside the private area it’s going to show you step by step exactly what you need to do to set up your Google AdWords campaign. You can set your advertising expenditure to reflect your budget, so if you just have $20 to spend, set your budget to $20. At this point whether you have a small or large budget, it has been my experience that having an AdWords account open and active is going to help you with your search ranking.

The next thing I would highly suggest, whether you have some extra money set aside or not, is to write up some articles. You want to write articles specifically about whatever you’re offering on that particular page. So, if your website is about insurance, then you want to write articles based upon insurance. When you write an article, you need five things. You’re going to need keywords, a title, a summary, some good content and a bio or resource box. Inside the bio or resource box, that’s where you’re going to include your link to drive readers back to your opt-in page. I recommend that you first submit your articles to EzineArticles, as well as any other article submission site you have time for. This can be a time consuming, tedious task, so if you do have some extra money you can invest in a software program called ArticleMarketer. ArticleMarketer will take your articles and submit them out to about 1,200 different locations through it’s automated process. Although it’s a bit of an investment it’s well worth it as you’ll be able to see results much quicker.

Now, the key to getting that first opt-in is going to be having your bio / resource box, driving traffic back to your opt-in page. This is the whole point of writing and submitting articles in the first place. Without that link back to your squeeze page, you will basically be wasting your time, energy and money. Linking back will allow you to have sites linking to your site which in turn improve your search rankings.

Lastly, the fastest way to get subscribers is going to be by finding a joint venture partner and have them mail out for you. However, just starting out, you probably won’t have this option available to you, but if you do, that’s going to be the best way to get traffic to your site and really break into your market.
