There are a lot of options to monetize your blog. What I often see on blogs are banner ads. What works well with banner ads is that people click on the banner ads, go to their page, and go to a page to buy something. This is a great visual tactic to make your visitor take action. Another thing that people do is they put Google AdSense on their blog. If you’ve opened an account with AdSense, basically what happens is they give you coding to place on your site. This code will display ads once your site is live. Those ads will be related to the keyword content on your page. So, if a visitor is reading your blog and clicks on one of the ads, you get a percentage of the amount of money for that click. At the end of the month you get a check based upon the amount of ad clicks your site received.

Another great option is offering your own advertising on your blog. If you offer advertising to other website owners and companies in your market who have related products that your readers and visitors would find useful and interested in purchasing, you can make a nice additional income stream monthly. If you charge per ad spot or per impressions, you can still make a good amount of money. It’s well worth it.

Now, how can you automate your updates so that it can be relevant in the field that you have chosen and not have to continuously update the contents? You might want to pull your content from what’s called an RSS feed. So, if you can pull in information from an RSS feed, you want to find RSS feeds that are relevant to the content you currently offer your visitors. All you have to do then is once you’ve found those feeds, then simply pull in those feeds and have it fed onto your blog. This keeps your blog fresh with new content without you having to do it all by yourself. It’ll automatically do it for you. Of course, you can still write new content yourself whenever you like but this will keep your content updated consistently – which the search engines love!

Profiting From Your Blog and Automating the Process – Part One

Profiting from your blog and automating the process of adding content is very possible. In this two part series, I’ll discuss ways that you can earn money from your blog. But, I’ll also be adding some tips on how you can ensure that your blog posts are updated daily without you having to lift a finger at all! Of course you can still add your own content whenever you like, but you can also use automated software to do your updates for you.

Starting a blog takes work and commitment. You need to consistently add new content to make the search engines happy as well as your readers happy. But it’s not only important to add content, your content must grab the attention of your audience. It needs to be quality content that is very informative and keeps your readers eager to see your next post. But with all of this work, you should be able to profit right? Well, you can profit from your blog while also automating the process so that it does not eat up all of your time. You can actually automate your updates so that you can offer your readers relevant information without having to literally do it all by yourself.

Profiting from your blog is possible if you do multiple different things. Here’s some things off the top of my head that you can do to profit from your blog. But first, ask yourself this question: do you have an opt-in form on your blog so that you can capture people’s email address and start emailing them? You need to invest in a good autoresponder program that offers a free trial. That’s one thing you can do to start profiting indirectly.

Next, you’ll need to ask yourself another question, “…are there affiliate links to get people to buy stuff from me on my blog?” You need to make sure that you’re up front with your visitors by presenting them with related affiliate offers on your blog so that they can buy from you. If you have related product offers that you’re list and visitors would find useful, place those links in your blog. But remember, to always have a call-to-action at the end of your blog posting. Whether that call-to-action is for them to sign up for your newsletter, or to purchase an affiliate product from you, you need to be up front and place your offer directly in front of your market. This one tactic will surely increase your conversions.
