Dominating a Niche for a Product That’s Not Yours

If you have found a product that you know has poor marketing there is a lot you can do to make some good money. I actually was asked a question by someone who told me that they knew of a sports company with an awesome info product with a manual and videos. The best part of it all was that it was related to a niche of theirs. This person also knew that the product sold very, very well in its home country of Australia. But although this product had a web presence the marketing for it was extremely poor. So, this fellow did a little research and said that when he looked them up on Google under the name of the product the product was easy to find. However, if you enter other types of good, relevant keywords in their niche they weren’t even in the top 100 of Google, not in organic results or on the AdWords side. And this guy who’s researching this company is an SEO expert! So, he definitely has the upper hand here.

Basically, the idea he had was that he suggested he would act as a JV broker by hooking this company up with a well-established and respected SEO and lead generation company that he knew of. The SEO/lead generation company would boost the sport company’s web presence and drive leads, resulting in a high increase in sales. The JV broker (that being him), would get a cut of the profits that the company wouldn’t have otherwise seen, and the SEO company or rather the lead generation company, and sports company would split the profits at whatever percentages they agreed upon.

My advice?... Although this is a good idea, because you would have to do very little work – you’d only have to connect the two parties. However, I would suggest you become an affiliate and do the marketing for this product yourself. Especially since you say you are a SEO expert. You can make a ton more money working as an affiliate.

You know that you can make this company a lot of money. You can make so much more, plus the relationship with them is going to be so much greater because you’re going to be the one that actually is marketing their product and making huge sales. Now, whatever you do, don’t tell them your secret weapon. If they ask you what you’re doing, just say you have a secret weapon. You might not tell them about the SEO/lead generation company unless you absolutely have to. But use it to your advantage. You may just get a huge life-changing business proposal this way.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Local Search

If you're looking from an SEO perspective for local search, it's pretty easy. Just find names of counties and things like that and put them in your keywords. Think about what people are searching for. You can take Atlanta for example; I used to dominate "Atlanta internet marketing tips." Why? Well, because there were a lot of people actually searching for "Atlanta internet marketing tips." They don't just want to find internet marketing tips all over the world; they want to find internet marketing tips in Atlanta or internet marketing strategies, people that do internet marketing strategies in Atlanta. So I really dominated that in the beginning and I've got a big list of people in the Atlanta market.

So, utilize the names of areas, the names of counties, the names of cities around you, to do the local search. It works really well to put the name in your title tag. So instead of it being "internet marketing tips" or "real estate strategies" or "real estate foreclosures," do "Atlanta foreclosures," "Grant County foreclosures." You know, use those as your keywords or your keyword phrases.

In local search, there's actually two different things you can do - and both can be done with free traffic and paid traffic.

With the free traffic, you want to go after business owners. For instance, we've worked with carpet stores, we've worked with plumbers and we've worked with exterminators. All people are trying to do is find, for instance, an exterminator in Atlanta or for whatever city they're in. With local search, there are people searching on those search terms, so you can definitely target those terms and literally dominate them very quickly using free traffic strategies such as the ones used by Traffic Magicians. As I mentioned before, you can find them at TrafficMagicians.com.

You're going to dominate your local search areas because they're what's considered long tail keywords, which makes them areas that other web site owners aren't trying to go after. For example, let's take "internet marketing." This is a highly, highly searched term. However, "Internet marketing in Atlanta" is not always that highly searched. However, there is still traffic for this term. Now, if you can dominate that term, plus LA, plus New York, plus wherever location, you'll obviously be able to get a lot of people. You can also find all the different search terms. Just add the city name to it.

Another cool thing is that if you're doing your Google AdWords campaign, it will actually give you the option of advertising within say a 50-mile radius of your business. This can work wonders if you're selling a service or even if you're selling houses.

For example, let's say you help save people from foreclosure and you want to target a specific foreclosure market. You would target your cities or maybe your sub-cities and everywhere else within a set radius in Google AdWords. So, instead of picking the United States, you could just pick the state of Georgia. You could pick the entire state of Georgia and only sanction that one. So, if you wanted to buy property all over your state or if you only wanted to buy property in a 50-mile radius around your house, you could do so. You can literally dominate your first three or four positions in Google AdWords by creating different campaigns because you're going to show up for those local people. You know, someone in Poughkeepsie, New York is not going to see my Atlanta ad. So, that's kind of the benefit of using this method.

Basically, if you're not using local search you're missing out on a ton of traffic.

It can literally change your business.

Matt Bacak

Can Buying PR Links and Press Releases Lead You to the Top of the Search Engines?

Purchasing PR links has become the norm all over the internet as businesses are desperate to expand their reach and gain more visitors. But before you decide to throw a bunch of cash into buying top spot PR links like PR1, PR2, PR3, it’s important for you to realize that these positions are highly competitive and quite pricey. However, although these spots seem like the logical choice you are better off purchasing PR links like PR5, PR 6’s and PR 7’s for greater visibility and away from the congestion of the top positions. These link positions will get you to the top much faster and you’ll have a stronger position in you niche due to the fact that you’re lower in PR but to the human eye a PR rank of 5, 6 or 7 has been tested to achieve better results than a rank of say PR4. PR rank is important but placement is a key factor!

So, for those of you who are looking to enter into a niche that is quite competitive, please don’t be discouraged. Remember, there are thousands upon thousands of sites in your niche that know nothing about SEO, rankings and traffic generation. Their lack of knowledge will give you a definite advantage! Many of these website owner’s sites aren’t totally optimized to combat or to win at the SEO game. They probably have no idea how to succeed online. You have the tools and everything you need to get to the top of the search engines. You have the knowledge to get a top ten ranking and you know how to get to the front page. Just use the techniques and strategies that I talked about and you should do quite well to make your site a success.

However, purchasing PR links is not the only way to rank well. You should also consider the strategy of using press releases to improve your rank as these can give your site credibility and help you jump to the top of the search engines because these press release sites rank extremely well.

If you decide to submit a press release do so on the top PR sites. I would highly recommend you using PRWeb Direct. PRWeb Direct costs about $250 to submit a press release. If you decide to use PRWeb Direct to submit your press release, just make sure you use keyword hyperlinks so that you can rank well for those keywords in your niche. If you don’t know how to do this PRWeb Direct has an area on their site where they explain how to do it. However, if you have no idea – no worries! For a few extra bucks you can get PRWeb Directs editors to help you to optimize your press release for the search engines! Now that’s what I call great service!
So, consider these tips if you want to be the top website in your niche!

“SEO is NOT the quickest way to get website traffic.”

What is the quickest way to drive traffic to your website? Search engine optimization is not the quickest way to drive traffic to your website. You can use search engine optimization programs to drive traffic to your website, but it is not the fastest tool. SEO is not something that will bring traffic to your website overnight. It will take you months to realize the full benefits of search engine optimization.

In addition, search engine optimization is time consuming and labor intensive. Just when you think that you have figured out all the rules and tricks of search engines, they will change their rules on you. Therefore, SEO is beneficial, but not the best way to obtain traffic.

The quickest way to drive to your website is through pay-per-click advertising. The best program to use is Google AdWords. You can literally drive traffic to your website within five to ten minutes using Google AdWords.

How can you maximize your Google AdWords campaign? Set up your Google AdWords account. Then set up your keywords. Google has tools that enable you to create a huge number of keywords. You can dictate to Google how much money you are willing to spend on a daily basis. This will be the limit your spend on Google AdWords each day. You can modify this level at any time.

It is important to note that some keywords cost more than others because they have a higher value. Start of at $0.06 as your bid per keyword. $0.06 is one step higher than the minimum. This will let you win the keyword most of the time because the majority of people bid the keyword at the minimum level which is $0.05.

How much does a keyword bid really cost you? If you have 100 visitors to your website that you will pay $0.06 * 100 = $6.00. You will pay $6.00 to Google. However, let's say you earn $100 from these visitors because they buy your products. Your profit is then $100 - $6 = $94.

What about the higher bids per keyword? Let's say somebody bid a high $6 for a keyword. If they had a 100 visitors to their website through this keyword then they owe Google $600. Wow! They need to sell a huge number of high ticket items to make any profit.

The lesson is that you should know your numbers. Figure out how much you spend per keyword, how many people click on this keyword, and how many of these people actually buy your products. This way you can determine your profit, if any, and figure out if you are bidding the right amount in Google AdWords on the keyword or keywords.

Be careful about the keywords you choose. You are not in the business to have as much traffic come to your website as possible. You shouldn't care about the hit counter on your website. The key is to have as much "targeted" traffic as possible. Targeted traffic is much more likely to buy your products and that is the whole point, right? If you want to make money then it should targeted traffic should be your mantra.

Testing and tracking your business numbers should be ingrained in your psyche. Your Google AdWords program is no exception. Test and tweak the ads you run in Google AdWords. Test the words, grammar, and punctuation to see how it affects the click through rate and sales conversion. Google AdWords has tools that enable you to run split tests and figure out which ads are the most profitable.

“An Example of a Sales Call”

You know that getting your customer on the phone can lead to selling bigger ticket items. But what do you say when you have them on the phone? Following is an example phone call to give you an idea of how you can apply it to your sales calls.

The phone calls are usually 1 to 1 hour 30 minutes. People will tell you that they only have “X” minutes like 20 to 30 minutes. If you are generally interested in solving their problem then time doesn’t matter. If you really engage them and sell great information then time is not an issue. So don’t tell them it’s going to be an hour right away or they become defensive.

Example: How to sell a SEO home study course.

Sales Person: So you’ve got a website. What is the reason you want to have this phone call with me today?

Customer Answer: I’ve put a lot of money into the website.

Sales Person: So you think SEO will help right?

Customer Answer: Yes, because then I’ll drive up my placement in search engines.

Sales Person: You want to get traffic to your website to sell more stuff? This will make you more money? Why else do you want it?

Customer Answer: To make money for my family.

Sales Person: So tell me about your family…

Customer Answer: I make about $3,000 per month.

Sales Person: How much per month do you want to make? Be specific.

Customer Answer: $10 - $20,000 per month in 5 months.

Sales Person: What would this new money allow in your life?

Customer Answer: My family could go on vacation. I’d have financial freedom.

Sales Person: So you see SEO as helping you achieve this money? What do you know about SEO?

Customer Answer: (Let them explain what they know about SEO.)

Now it’s time for the sales person to paint a pretty picture about how SEO is supposed to work. Give an ideal situation about being the #1 placement on Google. This would lead to more sales which lead to more money which leads to financial freedom and a happy family.

Sales Person: So how do you think you achieve this in SEO?

Customer Answer: I don’t know.

The sales person then explains how their SEO home study course can help customer achieve the ideal situation.

Customer: I’m ready to buy!

“Fear – Your New Best Friend”

Do you know the three steps to creating wealth? Creating wealth for your business depends upon your ability to sell, sell, and sell your products and services. Let’s look at the three steps to creating wealth beyond your wildest dreams.

Following are the three steps to creating wealth that will have you raking in the cash:

Step #1: Fear. You need to find out what people fear. If you haven’t created a product then find out what people fear in life and make a product that helps get rid of that fear. If you already have customers then find out their fears so you can create even more products.

Step #2: Promise of relief. So you’ve found out the fear of your customers, now what do you do with this information? You create a product or service that provides relief. You promise that your product will save the day and alleviate their fear.

Step #3: Money. To maximize your sales you need to let people know why you are the person to solve their concerns. You have to provide credibility so that they will give you their money. If you don’t provide credibility then they won’t have faith that your product will actually solve their problems. You can provide testimonials, show results, and give your credentials so they will literally throw their money at you. Fear is a very powerful feeling, so you can use fear to your advantage.

What are examples of these three steps in action? Let’s look at a couple of examples.

Example #1: Do your customers have concerns about earning the most profit from SEO on their website? You could provide an informational product that helps relieve this fear of losing out on money.

Example #2: The diet industry. The diet industry preys on the fear of being overweight and provides an easy relief solution through diet pills, programs, and gadgets. They prey on the fear that people feel like they will never be able to lose weight unless they order their diet products.

Take the lead from the diet industry and uncover the fears of your customers. If you can provide the magical solution, with credibility to stand behind it, then you maximize your profit in no time. If you don’t then you could lose out on thousands or even millions of dollars in profit.

“SEO rules have changed. Do you know the new rules?”

Did you know that traffic generation from a SEO operation doesn’t work anymore because Google has changed? The changes just happened in the last few months on Google. In order to make the most money you need to understand these changes.

Why should I make SEO priority? In one month 6.7 billion searches were done on search engines. Every day motivated buyers use search engines to find and buy products online. Over 200 million searches per day are made through Google. That is an immense amount of traffic.

If you can learn how to rank high on the search engines then you will increase quality traffic to your website. Superior rankings equal quality targeted traffic. If you don’t get this traffic then your competitors will scoop it up.

How much money are you losing if you don’t have a high Google search engine ranking? How much of this money has your competitor snatched?

How can you flood your website with high quality, responsive traffic for free? The answer is search engine optimization. The purpose of SEO is to improve your ranking in the search engine results. A superior ranking in the major search engines is the best way to bring quality visitors to your website.

Google is the top search engine. You can also use Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Two types of SEO:
1.) On page optimization.
This is SEO that you do right on your website. You modify code directly on your site. This is what you say about your website (text, copy, links, keyword density in copy and headline, metatags, etc.) On page optimization used to be the primary place to work to obtain superior rankings in the search engine listings.

The page title is the number one on page factor that you need to focus on.
Page title tips:
• Limit the length of your page title of 65 characters or less.
• Incorporate keyword phrases into your page title.
• Grab the searchers attention.
• Each page should have a unique page title.
• Repeat your title tag in your H1 tags.
• Your title is the link that is shown in the search results of the search engine such as Google.
• Focus on click through rates and conversion rates.

However, there are problems with on page optimization. If you want to rank for something people tend to exaggerate or lie to get traffic. This caused the results in the search engine to differ from the actual websites. Google knew this was a problem. Therefore, Google decided to focus on off page optimization.

2.) Off page optimization.
This has to do with what others say about your website. Google has determined that what others say about your website is more credible that what you say. These other people act as a credible referral.

Links are critical and Google measure your links. This gives Google a way to measure what your site is about. Incoming links count as a vote to determine the relevancy and popularity of your site. An incoming link is a link from another site to your site.

Examples of links include:
• Blog post links
• Press release links
• Social network links
• Text links

Matt Bacak

“The 2 Types of Traffic Sources for Your Internet Website”

What is the difference between traffic and “targeted” traffic?
You can pay money to get general traffic. However, if these people don’t want your product then you won’t make money. Targeted traffic will be interested in your product and will buy.

Internet Traffic Myth: “If you build it they will come.”
Just building a website does not bring in customers. It really just means you have a spot on the Internet highway and nothing more unless you create a traffic plan.

For example, let’s say you spent all your money on a website. Once it’s completed you think that you can sit back and rake in the money. This is a fallacy. Internet visitors won’t simply stumble upon your website.

You have to promote your website in order to get in front of your prospects.

Traffic Sources: Two Types – FREE and PAID

FREE Traffic:
• Traffic from joint ventures. Joint ventures are the easiest way to make money online. If you can connect with someone else that has what you don’t have then you can make money together. Let’s say you have a product and another person has a list that would be interested in that product.

One problem is that you don’t have a list. How do you obtain joint ventures then? You need to network with people that you meet at seminars and conferences. If you are starting out then you have to work with people near your level.

• Traffic from emailing your own list. You should have a squeeze on your website that captures personal information. If you promote to your own list then you will have a higher conversion rate. Why? Because when you promote to people on your own list you are promoting to people that know you. You have established a relationship with these people. Hence, promote by sending emails to your list over and over.

For example, send two emails to your list every day. Make sure to send quality content to your list.

• You need traffic from an affiliate network. You build leverage when you set up an affiliate network. An affiliate network allows you to have other people sign up and promote your product for you. These affiliates will earn a commission.

• Traffic from common and related Blogs. This can be a huge source of targeted traffic. Find Blogs that are related to your market. Go to the Blog and post an intelligent comment on the Blog. Make sure to put your name and website address link on the Blog post. This link pushes people to your squeeze page. This is a great way to obtain a lot of subscribers to your list.

• Viral marketing referrals. “Refer a Friend”.

• Traffic from search engine optimization. SEO

PAID traffic:
• Pay ezines to include your offer in their email list. This is a great way to get traffic. Make sure to send traffic to your squeeze page.
• Traffic from direct mail. Direct mail is effective if it is done right. It can be very expensive if you don’t test small and know what you are doing.
• SRDS.com – SRDS is one of the largest suppliers of lists. You can buy a list of people that have bought a certain product. You can send direct mail to this list. You are targeting people that are already buyers in your market. Make sure that you know what you are doing and start small otherwise you will lose money.
• Traffic from teleseminars and voice broadcasting.
• Traffic from CPA networks. These are “Cost per Action” networks. You pay for a lead.
• Pay per click advertising – PPC. You pay money each time your advertisement is clicked on. Advertisements are shown based on the keyword theme searched. Advertisers bid on the amount of money they are willing to pay. 20% is click fraud. This is unfortunate and pay per click fraud is getting worse. Be careful of pay per click.

Components of a Powerful Website

How do you create a powerful website? Following are list of action items that will help create a powerful website.

You have to create heroin content. This type of content is content that sells a product that everybody wants and has to have. Heroin content is content that gets people to take action on a product that benefits both you and the customer.

You have to capture leads. You need to obtain the personal information of website visitors so you can market to them over and over.

You need to generate large amount of traffic. You can create a beautiful website, but if nobody visits your website then you won’t make money. You have to have a powerful design and traffic.

You can use the Internet to increase networking.

Your website needs to be easy to find. You can accomplish this through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO makes the search engines want to find your website.

Your domain name helps (or hinders) how people find you.

Your website should provide solutions to customers’ problems. People go to websites because they have a problem that they want solved. You need to be the person that solves their problems.

You should have a good layout and design on your website. For example, you need a squeeze page.

You always want to have crisp clean lines that are easy to read. Your website has to be readable! If your website is difficult read then customers will go away.

Make sure your website is easy to navigate. For example, it should be easy to find your contact information on your website.

Your website should have a modern look and feel. Your website reflects who you are and what you are doing in your business.

You don’t need to have something expensive to sell on a website.

Think about your domain names. Website search engines, such as Google, see your domain name as keywords. This is how they rank you against your competitors.

How does your domain name tie in with the business you run? Your domain name should reflect the products and services you sell. Essentially, your domain should have a purpose and intent related to your business.

Create more products to sell. You can create a product from a top ten list. For example, if you are a lawyer you can create a top ten list of things to do to find the best lawyer. This top ten list can be converted in a product that you can sell on your website.

Offer free Autoresponder series, newsletters, and downloads in exchange for a customer’s name and email address. This allows you to continually market to your client list. Offer incentives that encourage your customers to purchase more items.

3 Hot Tips for Internet Businesses

Running a profitable Internet business involves a plethora of tasks that need to be taken care of each day. Following are three hot tips that you can apply to your Internet business in no time flat.

Hot Tip #1: Affiliate management is crucial.
You have to have your own affiliate program. If you don’t, you are losing money. You need to utilize other people’s efforts through an affiliate program. The goal is to leverage your business. You can accomplish this by having your affiliates spend money on Google AdWords that advertise your products. All successful online businesses have their own affiliate programs in place.

If you want to increase profits from your affiliates by 200-300% then you need to give them the tools they need! Most affiliate programs only supply affiliates with an affiliate link. This is not enough!

Provide your affiliate with as much information as possible such as banner ads. Provide them with 5 line, 10 line, solo, and Blog ads. Provide your affiliates with Blog reviews, Google AdWords ads so all they have to do is copy and paste your advertising information.

Hot Tip #2: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) It is imperative that you know how to use search engine optimization so you can obtain the prime spots in the Google search engine results.

Hot Tip #3: Traffic generation through “site targeted” advertising.
Site Targeted” Advertising can be administered through Google AdWords. In site targeted advertising you pay per 1,000 impressions (CPM). You bid how much you will pay every 1,000 times your ad is shown. Clicks don’t matter. An impression means only when the ad is shown to the user.

You can specify where your ads are going to appear by doing the following:
Select a topic. Find keywords for that topic. (10 keywords)
Use Google to find target websites that have your topic. Look for the websites and/or topics that have a huge amount of traffic.
Look for sites that advertise Google AdSense on their website. At the bottom of the site you will see an ad that says “Advertise on this site”. Click on it. That will take you to your Google AdWords account and advertise on that SPECIFIC site.
Use a BANNER ad to dominate the whole website with your ad. This will dramatically increase the click through rate.
