The A9 Process of bringing more traffic to your website – Step 6

Let’s review what we have done so far. We first started off writing good quality 350-500 word articles. We then submitted these articles to the various submission sites. Next, we repurposed and modified the same content into press releases and submitted those. After that, we took the same content and made it into professional videos. We submitted those.

Now, we’re going to take the audio that was in your video, which your professional voiceover person did, as well as your call to action, and podcast it for you.
The cool benefit for podcasting is that there are literally over 200 million Apple iTunes users searching on iTunes every single day. Now, although Apple iTunes likes video, it is really an audio search engine, just like YouTube is really a video search engine. So, if you don’t think 200 million is a lot of people think of adding yourself to other different audio search engines. That’s all you’re doing here is you’re just placing the media that these search engines like.

So what we do is, we actually take that audio and we create you a podcast channel and then get you on iTunes. What that’s going to do is it’s going to put you into another search engine that’s going to get you even more traffic. Plus you can get back links from that because it’s an RSS feed - meaning that it’s constantly updating. It’s like a blog. You’re going to constantly see this updating in Google or in all of the other regular search engines simply because it’s like new content coming in.

Pretty amazing stuff when you think about all the techniques we use to generate a huge amount of traffic. The best part of the A9 process is it’s not a bunch of smoke and mirrors that will get you banned and the effects of using these techniques will last indefinitely because the media we are using has been around forever and is not some passing fad.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you go over to DirectTrafficGeyser.com and check out what we have to offer. We have done our best to help you in this whole process and we have arranged special pricing on all this stuff, in case you don’t have the time to do any of this yourself. It will be one of the best investments you ever make in your business.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Setting Up and Opt-in Box on Your Blog

If you are not familiar with what an opt-in box is, you should be. So, go over to www.mattbacak.com and look on the right hand side just below the fold (which I think is a perfect place to position this) and you will see I have an opt-in box for people to sign up to my newsletter. After they sign up, I now have one more person on my list to sell things to in the future.

Now, you have set up a blog and you want to be able to capture people's names and email addresses in the same way, however the blogging platform you are using doesn't give you this option. So the question is, how do you go about adding an opt-in box to your blog site.

Well, the first thing you have to do is get the form. So, find an opt-in form you like either from your other website, squeeze page or somebody else's site and copy it by looking at and locating the source code for the page it's on. Place the code into a text file for now so you can refer back to it.

The next thing you want to do is go into your blog and try to add the new code into your blog template. So, find the code for your template and copy it into an html editor such as FrontPage. Once you've done that, copy and paste the opt-in form code into the template and view your changes by previewing them.

When you have the form looking the way you want it, copy and paste the code back into you blog template on your blog site. Click on the "view blog" link to make sure everything looks proper and correct. If it looks good then you're finished otherwise you'll have to go back in and change the location of your code until it looks right.

As you already are aware, opt-in boxes are necessary in order to capture the names and contact information of your prospects. You want to be able to sell to them again and again so you need to gain access to their contact information. Opt-in forms also known as squeeze pages can make you a bundle of cash. As long as you have and own your own list, you now have a business that you can grow because you have people who are interested in what it is you have to offer.

Take the time to create an opt-in box on your blog to start gaining ownership of your business.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Blog for Rankings

When you create a blog it's a great way to express yourself and at the same time inform your audience what's going on. But it's also a great way to improve your rankings in the search engines. Let me explain.

If you want to get to the top because you're seeing your competition dominate you in your niche, it's time to take action!

So, let's just say you've submitted an article to an article directory site like ezinearticles.com but you were seeing someone else in your niche dominate you in the search engines. Well, it's time for you to knock them out of that top position and take over. How do you do this? It's simple!

If you want your article to appear at the top of the search engines all you have to do is blog that link! Basically, every article that you post to an article directory site like EzineArticles.com (which gets huge traffic I might add), you simply place a link to that article on your blog. For example, if it was www.Ezinearticles.com/adoption/how_to_adopt_a_child, because that's your niche, if that was your actual article, then you should go and blog that link. Whatever that link is where your article is located you blog the link. But just make sure when you do that you sound very natural in your recommendation for your visitors to visit that link. Whatever you do don't sound salesy or desperate to get the traffic.

Say something like: "Hey, check out these pages. I was doing a search on Google and I found these sites where people had posted information about me. I'm so flattered. You should go check them out." Basically what I did that for is not for people to go check them out – I really didn't care about that. What I did that for is so my sites would be pulled up higher in the search engines. So, when I did a search, I would be at the top of the search engines in my niche and my competition would fall in their rankings. This is an excellent strategy that has always worked for me. If you check out my blog at MattBacak.com you'll see several places where I've used this strategy... and it works like a charm!

So, go and find all the links out there that are indexed with Google. For any of your competition that has started to creep in on your space use this strategy to pull you up higher in the search engines. Your competition will have no idea what hit them ;)

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Grow Your List and Your Traffic with Article Submission

If you have a website online you know the necessity of providing useful content for your readers. But did you ever think that the content on your site could be made into articles and distributed all over the internet to bring you oodles of visitors – more than natural SEO? Well, it’s true. If you can submit at least two articles to an article site per day, you’re on target to make more money by leading more visitors to your site.

If you plan to use this strategy, just ensure that the articles you are providing are helpful to your audience. Make sure you’re offering valuable information that will help them.

Here are some article sites you can submit to:

· ezinearticles.com
· submityourarticles.com
· searchwarp.com
· ezarticles.com
· articlebin.com
· articlebeach.com
· articlehub.com
· articlegarden.com
· articlesphere.com
· media13.com
· visiblecontent.com
· articlegeek.com
· articlewise.com
· articlejoe.com
· alumbo.com
· linkgrinder.com

Posting your articles to these sites are the first step. But you’re not done yet. After you submit your articles to these sites you need to repost these articles on your own website. After I post my articles to my site I post them again on my blog, my myspace page, my squidoo lense and my other Web 2.0 social networking sites. These sites get a ton of traffic and are already ranked very well by the search engines so it’s a win-win by posting there.

After that I summarize the article and add that summary to an email to send to my list. Basically, I’m making that summary message number one of my autoresponder sequence. The full article will be accessed when my visitors click on the link I provide in the summary email. I do this over and over again with all of my articles - offering solid information to my list to ensure they continue to read my articles. But the best part of it all is that I can make money by leading them to my articles that have Google Adsense on it. That way I can make money even from my customers that don’t buy the products that I am promoting. It’s a very clever way to make money and I think everyone should be using this strategy. If you’re offering good, solid information, it’s always best to ensure you make money off of the majority of your visitors – even if they don’t buy.

So, if you’re not using articles to further monetize your site and draw in extra traffic you should start now! The interest in articles will never subside. People love knowledge and they are always looking for a way to take advantage of the information given to them. There’s no better or simpler way than providing articles to your list.

Submit some articles and begin to reap the rewards … with a little bit of work.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

“Avoid these 3 Internet Business Blunders!”

Blunders abound in Internet businesses. Read on to find out three common blunders that Internet businesses face every day. Learn about and understand these blunders so you can avoid them.

Blunder #1: People create products based on fads. If you create a product based on a fad then your product will have an extremely short shelf life. If you want to keep your business afloat far into the future then you can’t rely on a product based on a fad. The key is to create products based on what your niche wants. You can always update your products, but don’t fall prey to fads because they go in and out of style quickly.

Blunder #2: People build just a website and not a business. A website alone is not enough. If you want to make millions and have longevity in the Internet business world then you need a business plan. Think of all the dot com website businesses that plummeted in 2001. These dot com website businesses didn’t have solid, realistic business plans behind them. Don’t let the dot com grim reaper come your way.

You have to engage in tax planning, growth considerations, and everyday tasks. The reality of a business plan must be in your Internet business. A triumphant Internet business must have a business plan. This is so critical that it bears repeating.

Blunder #3: People think that the only way to reach people is through the Internet. This is not the case. You can earn more money and obtain more customers by contacting people through direct snail mail and calling them on the phone. You can reach people through teleseminars. You can have coaching sessions via telephone. You can up sell and make massive amounts of extra cash by talking to customers on the phone.

You can also set up a Blog. You can podcast. You can sell your teleseminar and podcast recordings. The lesson is that you can reach customers in both offline and online manners. The more venues you use to connect with customers, the more profit you will earn.

“The Power of Back Links”

What is a back link? A back link is when another website links to your website. These other websites have links that point to your website. You should build back links to your website because the search engines love back links. All the search engines view back links to your website as votes for your website. The more back links you have, the more votes you have, the higher rank you will get from the search engines.

While back links are important, not all back links have the same value. Some websites are more valuable than others because they have a higher page rank in Google. If higher page rank websites back link to you then your ranking will soar. So you could actually have less back links, but they are of higher quality.

You can use the free keyword tool at http://www.wordtracker.com and Google to help you find high quality websites. You will find hundreds of different keywords and how much traffic they get each day. Target some of those keywords in this list. Then take one of those keywords and type it into Google.

Look at the organic (free) listings that are in the middle of the Google search engine results page. These are the websites that people are looking for when they type in these keywords. Look at the first three websites listed.

Go to http://www.marketleap.com and use the link popularity tool. It will show you all the back links to the websites that you have searched on. Contact these websites to see if they will do a link exchange with you.

The goal is to acquire as many links as you can from the high powered websites. You can link other websites to your articles and Blog. Also include a link to your website in the bio of the article. Your articles will be all over the Internet and provide many back links to your website.

“How to make money with a video Blog”

How can you use video in Blogging? Blogging is a huge factor of business success on the Internet. You can use WordPress and Blogger.com. If you don’t like to sit and type then putting videos on your Blog may be your best bet. You can have mini television shows on your Blog. You can get subscribers to come to your Blog periodically to watch your Blog shows. These Blog shows can make you money.

We don’t watch television for commercials. We watch television for information, education, or both. However, the commercials pay the bills for television. The same theory applies to video Blogging. You can attract people to your Blog through your Blog videos. You can advertise your products and services throughout the Blog. For example, you can run commercials in your Blog because people are already used to this in television. This will make you money.

Tip: Humor is a great advertising tool. Use the tried and true principles from television in your videos. Utilize this visual and audio medium that people already like and are comfortable with.

If you embed an audio or video file in your Blog then you are audio podcasting and video podcasting. This strategy is growing like weeds in the Internet marketplace. You can build a subscriber base easily using these strategies. Plus, all of this content can be downloaded to pdas, iPods, and cell phones. Anybody can create an audio podcast and/or a video podcast with inexpensive, easy to use equipment.

Tip: You have to have compelling content in your audio podcasting and video podcasting. People like to be entertained so provide them with compelling content that exceeds their expectations.

Another option is to set up a website that is a continuously running video. You can rotate products. For each product you will have a new “buy” button. It is like having a home shopping network on your own website. This will work in all kinds of niches. You can drive traffic to the website and allow people to check out the videos. It is far cheaper than selling items on the real home shopping network.

“Pack your Affiliate Programs with Promotional Tools”

You have to use a hook to grab people so they will sign up for your list. They have to know what is in it for them. You can convey your hook more effectively through audio and video. Set up an audio and/or video that demonstrates your marketing message and what people will receive when they sign up for your list.

Some people will put in fake addresses on your opt-in list, but this is normal. Just ignore those fake email addresses. Focus on the legitimate people that do want to be on your list. This is targeted traffic that desires to know more about you and your products.

When a person signs up for your opt-in list you have a captive audience. This is the best time to ask them to refer friends. Not everybody will refer friends, but your list will grow even if only a few use the tell-a-friend script. It will always be better than if you didn’t use the tell-a-friend script at all.

Use the butterfly marketing concept of running an affiliate program. Affiliate programs are an excellent way to make small changes to your marketing campaign that has a huge effect on your promotion and bottom line. Read on to find out tips and tricks for affiliate programs.

When you set up an affiliate program it has to be simple. If you don’t then people won’t do what they are expected to do. If you think that people will promote your website after you give them an affiliate link then you are sadly mistaken. Instead, you need to provide them with promotional tools that automatically have their affiliate link embedded in the promotional tools. You should provide them the copy and promotional tools they need to promote your website. Make it simple for them. The affiliate will be much more likely to promote your website and products if they are armed with your information.

Provide multi-promotion tools for affiliates to use which include: email copy of several offers and email communication, Blog reviews, ezine ads, articles, press releases, banner images they can use, pay-per-click campaign, form signatures, email signatures, and the list goes on and on. Make sure to tell them how to use each specific promotional tool.

Create an affiliate program that has instructions in steps. People want a complete program to follow. They want to go through each step until they are finished. You don’t want them to pick and choose which promotional tools to use. Instead, you want them to use all your promotional tools so that you can maximize their affiliate efforts.

If you don’t take the time to create this material for your affiliates then they won’t take the time to create them either. If you want affiliates to spread the word about you and your products then you have to give them a promotional package about you and your products. This will create active affiliates and earn your more money.

Matt Bacak

“Reach more customers with Blogs and Podcasts”

How important are joint ventures? There is a shift in the joint venture arena. Huge companies are acquiring smaller companies. Consolidation is the theme of the times. Huge companies acquire smaller companies so they could tap into their customer base. For example, they want all the Blog content and the people that read these Blogs.

People read your Blogs not necessarily just for the content, but for your personality. If they like your personality then they will continue to read your Blog. If they don’t like your personality then they may read your Blog once and leave it. So let your personality shine through in your Blog if you want to keep readers that you want to target.

The same personality theory applies to podcasts. If you entertain people and they are having a good time then the number of podcast listeners you have will soar.

What is the profit model on a Blog? You can sell advertising on your Blog. For example, you can have Google AdSense on your Blog website. If you are in a high demand, high priced keyword niche then you can make great money through Google AdSense. If you can build a nice audience for your Blog then Google AdSense and other advertising is the way to go. This can become a game of volume though and it is just one way to monetize a Blog.

Blogs and podcasts are excellent lead generation tools. In order to get the most leads, you need to keep your content fresh on your Blogs and podcasts. Provide valuable content and you will rake in new prospects and gain popularity.

A Blog lets you build a fan club that you can promote your products to. Follow up this Blog strategy with podcasts. You can show your Blog to people. Then tell them that if they like your Blog then they will enjoy your podcast. Then tell them that if they like your podcast then they will enjoy your products. It is a great way to generate a lead that converts to a sale.

You can also monetize a podcast. You can monetize it by driving repeat interest to your products based on the podcast content. Your podcast will ingrain your name and product into their mind through the podcast. The podcast lets you intersperse information commercials during your podcast.

Another major benefit of creating podcasts is that it is easy. You can create content quickly using inexpensive equipment. It is also easy for listeners to access, download, and listen to your podcasts. For example, you can have your podcasts indexed iTunes. Listeners can subscribe to your podcast and be notified every time you upload a new podcast.

“Which works best in email: Long or short copy?”

Have you ever received an email that is 7 pages long? How long should email messages be? Do long emails or short emails work better? The answer is that your emails should be brief. Your email is just a vehicle to get the subscriber to take action. For example, your email should be to the point and get people to go your Blog. Your email copy can tell people to head to your Blog for information about a specific topic. Then on your Blog you can have long copy.

Long copy in your email is also bad because spam filters don’t like long copy. Spam filters will imprison your emails in spam prison if they detect a certain number of specific words. For example, you may have long copy in your email that references the words “weight loss” several times. Spam filters will perceive these references as spam and send your email to spam prison. So provide short email copy instead.

Create a dialog with your subscribers. Give them a way to talk back. This will create a much deeper relationship. Your email copy should not just talk at the subscriber. The copy should ask the subscriber for their feedback. Personalize your emails as though you were talking to a friend and want their feedback.

Tip: Your emails should look spontaneous, personal, and relevant. Your subscribers should think that your email is coming from a pal.

Can you have a relationship that is too close to your email subscribers? Can you be too revealing and counterproductive? Yes. Your goal is to be an expert on the topic that people are subscribing for. If you write about your own personal problems and violate your expertise then you are going to ruin the relationship with your subscribers. Take time to think about what personal information, if any, you reveal to your email subscribers. For example, you would not reveal emotional outbursts such as a nervous breakdown.

People want solutions. Your emails can’t lose sight of this. You have to constantly provide information on the topic that you are an expert on. You can still establish a relationship, but the relationship should be light and filled with humor. You may lose subscribers from time to time, but the subscribers that do stay with you are targeted and worth their weight in gold. Focus on retaining these customers by providing pertinent information.

Matt Bacak

“Blog your way to financial freedom”

Searching for another idea that can kick start your Internet business profits?

Million Dollar Idea: “Blogging”
What is the one major problem of Blogs for most people? Many people don’t post enough content on their Blog to make it worthwhile. Imagine a concept where your Blog content writes itself for you so you don’t have to worry about it. How can you accomplish this? You can use software to automatically write your content.

There is one type of content that people will never get mad at you for posting on your Blog. What is this type of content? Press Releases. This type of Blog content is great because it contains several keywords. You can use software that lets you type in the keywords you want on your Blog. The software will then search the press release websites for the appropriate press releases that have these keywords.

The software should allow you to decide how many words and paragraphs you want posted on your Blog. It will allow you to also post the entire article if you want to.

Why should you create an unlimited number Blogs? Blogs are very powerful. Search engines favor fresh content. The search engine will find your Blogs and raise your ranking. Plus, you can run Google AdSense programs on your Blogs. This will enable you to earn money from each Blog.

You can also write your own articles. If you don’t like to write, you can record your content. Have this content transcribed and formatted. You can outsource this article creation to freelancers.

Tip: Your Blog articles don’t have to be long. They can be around 200 words if you want. The key is to provide valuable content that your readers and customers would benefit from.

Tip: You can create an audio version of the Blog post. Provide a link in your Blog article that says “Click here to listen to this post”. This will impress readers because it shows that you have gone the extra mile to provide them with valuable content in a different format.

Tip: You can use audio generator software where you create podcasts. Your podcast will be automatically indexed in iTunes. The podcasts can be automatically generated into text content on your Blog that contains a link to your podcast.

“7 Frequently Asked Questions about Blogs”

Do you have a Blog for your Internet business? If not, have you considered setting up a Blog in the near future? Blogs are yet another tool you can use to market and promote your Internet business. You can have a Blog even if you don’t have an Internet website.

Blogs are relatively new technology to many Internet business owners. Following are a list of common questions associated with Blogs.

Blog Question #1: What is the purpose of submitting to Blogs before you have a website? The main purpose is to help establish your name on the Internet. In addition, search engines love Blog content. These search engines eat new content up like candy. Your Blog can supply the new content candy that these search engines have a craving for.

Writing a Blog also helps to establish a habit of consistently updating web content regarding you or your business. This habit puts new content on the Internet resulting in an increase in your Internet presence. The more work you put into your Blog, on a consistent basis, the more you will reap in rewards.

Blog Question #2: Is there a preferred Blogger site? This is a difficult question to give one answer to because it depends on your preferences, needs, and capabilities. So the answer is to find the Blogger site that makes sense to you and makes you feel the most comfortable.

Blog Question #3: What are the “no-no’s” of writing Blogs such as mentioning celebrity names, brand names, and/or friends? There aren’t really any established no-no’s. The content you post on your Blog is up to you as long as it is not libel or slander. However, you might want to ask or tell your friends that you are going to write about them.

Blog Question #4: Should I use real names in a Blog? If the person/people know that you are going to use their real name than it should be okay. Make sure to ask them before you post the information to your Blog.

Blog Question #5: How do you keep people from copying your Blog? It’s difficult to find out if people copy from your Blogs. So don’t waste time worrying about it.

Blog Question #6: Of my own Blogs, should I copyright Blogs that are similar in structure to articles and/or are my favorite Blogs? You can if you want to, but it can be a waste of time and not save you from somebody else copying it anyway. It is your call whether or not you want to take this extra step.

Blog Question #7: Should I sell my Blogs to a Blog website that will then own my Blogs? No, don’t give other sites rights to your Blog content.

“Ditch the Yellow Pages – NOW!”

Is old media failing? Think about this question – Do you use the telephone yellow pages or Google to search for information? More and more people are using Internet search engines to find information. Plus, you can track where your leads come from by using an Internet search engine. Print material, such as the yellow pages, doesn’t help you track where your leads come from.

The popularity of radio is also failing. Many people only listen to radio while they are in their car. Therefore, they aren’t able to write any of your content and/or contact information down.

Don’t ditch old media entirely, but be aware that new media can be more powerful. New media gives users more control. People can fast forward commercials and peruse websites at their leisure. Whereas in the old days people had to sit and listen to the TV news without any input on their part.

50 million people turn to the Internet everyday for news. 45% of TV advertisers are looking to do online advertising because it is more effective and they can track their leads. The return on investment is higher through Internet media.

What is new media marketing? It is conversation marketing versus interrupted marketing. Interrupted marketing of the past was when commercials interrupt the TV program you are watching. You have no control. New media marketing, on the other hand, enables people to discuss niches and topics on the Internet through discussion boards. There is a sense of community and trust that is built in your niche. People can give their input and opinions.

People do business with those that they know, like, and trust. If you are passionate and love what you do then you can communicate this through your audio and video Blogs and podcasts. By watching your video Blogs people will feel like they know you. You become a trusted friend that recommends products and services that solve their problems.

What Blog program is the best? WordPress is the recommended Blog program to use. WordPress is free. It is by far the best Blogger software on the market right now. Everyone online can read, hear, and watch content you write with your Blog. You are educating your subscribers. Audio and video builds trust faster than any other type of media.

“Unleash the Power of Blogs”

New media marketing such as Blogs should be an integral part of your Internet marketing plan. Internet technology changes rapidly and you need to keep pace with new advancements in technology. Old media including radio, television, and print are not going to go away, but you shouldn’t focus on this old media alone. You should be the dominator of your niche with a Blog, podcasting, and audio and video Blogs.

A Blog was originally just text and pictures. However, now they encompass text, images, audio, and video. The best blogging program to use is WordPress.

Blogs allow you to instantly communicate through text, pictures, audio, and video. You can Blog in any niche possible. Blogging doesn’t require a webmaster. Blogs enable you to create worldwide relationships. You can share your information instantly. Blogging enables you to be found more easily by the search engines. Search engines love it when you update your content. You can update your Blog as often as you like therefore increasing your visibility in the search engines.

Blogs and webpages are the same technology. However, for a Blog you don’t need a webmaster and you don’t have to know web design. Blog comes from the word Weblog otherwise known as an online journal.

People can instantly receive your Blog updates by RSS feeds. When you update your Blog your RSS subscribers will be informed. Blog software is free. However, transmitting audio and video will only cost you pennies on the dollar.

Why are newsreaders, aggregators, and iTunes important?
RSS stands for “Real Simple Syndication”. It enables software like newsreaders to download your content (text, images, audio, and video) every time you update it. It is an automated notification system. Aggregators and iTunes are the equivalent to a radio and TV on the Internet. These programs enable people to listen and watch your podcasts and video Blogs.

Every search engine, such as Google, has a newsreader which makes it simple for people to access your Blog and podcasts. They access it through these websites. This is much better then sending items through email. Why? Because email is stopped by spam filters more and more these days. This gives you power to put your content in people’s hands quickly.

Internet Explorer 7 has a one click subscription to Blog. This is a recent development. People can subscribe to a Blog feed easily with one click. This feature is great news for your Blog. This feature enables you to build a following of people that like you and your Blog.

ITunes has one click subscriptions as well. People can find your Blog in iTunes. They can then subscribe to your Blog. You can’t get into iTunes unless you have a podcast and a Blog. ITunes is free.

ITunes allows you to use audio and video. iPods are popular. People can download your podcasts and Blogs to their iPods to watch and listen to when they want.

Even Tivo on your TV can subscribe to your Blog feed!

Essentially, you have the same reach as old media, but for just pennies on the dollar.

“SEO rules have changed. Do you know the new rules?”

Did you know that traffic generation from a SEO operation doesn’t work anymore because Google has changed? The changes just happened in the last few months on Google. In order to make the most money you need to understand these changes.

Why should I make SEO priority? In one month 6.7 billion searches were done on search engines. Every day motivated buyers use search engines to find and buy products online. Over 200 million searches per day are made through Google. That is an immense amount of traffic.

If you can learn how to rank high on the search engines then you will increase quality traffic to your website. Superior rankings equal quality targeted traffic. If you don’t get this traffic then your competitors will scoop it up.

How much money are you losing if you don’t have a high Google search engine ranking? How much of this money has your competitor snatched?

How can you flood your website with high quality, responsive traffic for free? The answer is search engine optimization. The purpose of SEO is to improve your ranking in the search engine results. A superior ranking in the major search engines is the best way to bring quality visitors to your website.

Google is the top search engine. You can also use Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Two types of SEO:
1.) On page optimization.
This is SEO that you do right on your website. You modify code directly on your site. This is what you say about your website (text, copy, links, keyword density in copy and headline, metatags, etc.) On page optimization used to be the primary place to work to obtain superior rankings in the search engine listings.

The page title is the number one on page factor that you need to focus on.
Page title tips:
• Limit the length of your page title of 65 characters or less.
• Incorporate keyword phrases into your page title.
• Grab the searchers attention.
• Each page should have a unique page title.
• Repeat your title tag in your H1 tags.
• Your title is the link that is shown in the search results of the search engine such as Google.
• Focus on click through rates and conversion rates.

However, there are problems with on page optimization. If you want to rank for something people tend to exaggerate or lie to get traffic. This caused the results in the search engine to differ from the actual websites. Google knew this was a problem. Therefore, Google decided to focus on off page optimization.

2.) Off page optimization.
This has to do with what others say about your website. Google has determined that what others say about your website is more credible that what you say. These other people act as a credible referral.

Links are critical and Google measure your links. This gives Google a way to measure what your site is about. Incoming links count as a vote to determine the relevancy and popularity of your site. An incoming link is a link from another site to your site.

Examples of links include:
• Blog post links
• Press release links
• Social network links
• Text links

“The 2 Types of Traffic Sources for Your Internet Website”

What is the difference between traffic and “targeted” traffic?
You can pay money to get general traffic. However, if these people don’t want your product then you won’t make money. Targeted traffic will be interested in your product and will buy.

Internet Traffic Myth: “If you build it they will come.”
Just building a website does not bring in customers. It really just means you have a spot on the Internet highway and nothing more unless you create a traffic plan.

For example, let’s say you spent all your money on a website. Once it’s completed you think that you can sit back and rake in the money. This is a fallacy. Internet visitors won’t simply stumble upon your website.

You have to promote your website in order to get in front of your prospects.

Traffic Sources: Two Types – FREE and PAID

FREE Traffic:
• Traffic from joint ventures. Joint ventures are the easiest way to make money online. If you can connect with someone else that has what you don’t have then you can make money together. Let’s say you have a product and another person has a list that would be interested in that product.

One problem is that you don’t have a list. How do you obtain joint ventures then? You need to network with people that you meet at seminars and conferences. If you are starting out then you have to work with people near your level.

• Traffic from emailing your own list. You should have a squeeze on your website that captures personal information. If you promote to your own list then you will have a higher conversion rate. Why? Because when you promote to people on your own list you are promoting to people that know you. You have established a relationship with these people. Hence, promote by sending emails to your list over and over.

For example, send two emails to your list every day. Make sure to send quality content to your list.

• You need traffic from an affiliate network. You build leverage when you set up an affiliate network. An affiliate network allows you to have other people sign up and promote your product for you. These affiliates will earn a commission.

• Traffic from common and related Blogs. This can be a huge source of targeted traffic. Find Blogs that are related to your market. Go to the Blog and post an intelligent comment on the Blog. Make sure to put your name and website address link on the Blog post. This link pushes people to your squeeze page. This is a great way to obtain a lot of subscribers to your list.

• Viral marketing referrals. “Refer a Friend”.

• Traffic from search engine optimization. SEO

PAID traffic:
• Pay ezines to include your offer in their email list. This is a great way to get traffic. Make sure to send traffic to your squeeze page.
• Traffic from direct mail. Direct mail is effective if it is done right. It can be very expensive if you don’t test small and know what you are doing.
• SRDS.com – SRDS is one of the largest suppliers of lists. You can buy a list of people that have bought a certain product. You can send direct mail to this list. You are targeting people that are already buyers in your market. Make sure that you know what you are doing and start small otherwise you will lose money.
• Traffic from teleseminars and voice broadcasting.
• Traffic from CPA networks. These are “Cost per Action” networks. You pay for a lead.
• Pay per click advertising – PPC. You pay money each time your advertisement is clicked on. Advertisements are shown based on the keyword theme searched. Advertisers bid on the amount of money they are willing to pay. 20% is click fraud. This is unfortunate and pay per click fraud is getting worse. Be careful of pay per click.

Matt Bacak

“MySpace – A free database of leads.”

Do you know about MySpace? Have you heard friends or colleagues talk about MySpace? Have you seen news about MySpace on the Internet, TV, and newspapers? If not then you must have been living under a rock. MySpace is relatively new, but is used by millions of people. Therefore, you should integrate a MySpace strategy into your Internet business.

There are many advantages of myspace. For example, you can obtain leads by creating “friends” on MySpace. When you open a MySpace account you get a “friends” list. MySpace is free social networking. 171 million people are on MySpace. If MySpace were a country it would be the sixth largest country in the world.

MySpace has demographics that are broken down by age, sex, geographic location, and income levels. MySpace is essentially a free database. You can target people based on demographics and ask them to be your “friends”. Once you build the “friends” list then you can market to them.

Being able to grab this information about MySpace is extremely powerful!

MySpace also lets you do blogging. Blogging is powerful in MySpace because it is free and other MySpace people can find your Blog. They can ask you to be their friend after reading your Blog.

Why do MySpace pages translate into making money? An example is a magician that created a MySpace page. He made money working at trade show events. He wanted to get a friends list of event planners through MySpace. You can go to Google and find people in MySpace using these keyword demographics. He then sent all those people an email. He ended up getting several event bookings as a result of creating this type of database.

Check out these Internet statistics…
6.4 billion searches are done per month using Internet search engines.
42% of people click on the first result in the search engine results. Then it drops off significantly. So if your website isn’t listed in the top spots on Google then you are missing out on website traffic.

Utilize the power of the Internet along with MySpace and watch your leads grow exponentially. You can open a MySpace account in a matter of minutes.
