The JV Approach Letter

JV’s or joint ventures are a popular way that businesses partner with other businesses and leverage their products and resources to make more money. According to Wikipedia.org a joint venture is “an entity formed between two or more parties to undertake economic activity together. The parties agree to create a new entity by both contributing equity, and they then share in the revenues, expenses, and control of the enterprise”.

When you approach a potential joint venture partner what you need to do is tell people exactly what the product is, how much money your splits are going to be and how they can contact you. So when I start and go through, what you want to do is say something like, “Hey, my name is Matt and I’m looking for people that are interested in promoting XYZ product which is in this niche” or whatever. Say, “I’m going to pay out this much money per product. Contact me so I can get you started making money now.” Or something like that.

Next, once we get to the point where, after I get done with the questions, submit that and guess what? I’ll send out an email to everybody and let them know about the joint venture. Once that is done you’ll probably get people to contact you and do a joint venture. But what you really need to do is start getting your marketing funnel set up. You need to have it ready just to make it easier on everybody, is write the emails for people to market the product for. If you have the product made, you need to get the sales letter up as soon as possible.

When you get the sales letter up, you need to get emails written to drive people to that page. You want to have them written so you can just hand them to your affiliates and have them send out an email with that offer to their list. It’s a really good way to generate more sales and more traffic. You should also send the same emails to your list as well. But when you do you might want to test out various versions of the emails with your list first and then you can pass along the winning emails to your partners. You may want to say something like, “Hey, here’s some emails that I’ve used for my list. They’ve worked really well. Use these.”

Once you get a few JV deals you will begin seeing an increase in both your traffic and your revenues!

Matt Bacak

“Tips and Tricks for Copy and Product Creation”

In any copy that you write you should always include a reason why you are writing the copy in the first place. Advertising is about giving a reason why. For example, if you discount the price of your product you should give a reason why. If you don’t give a reason then people might view your product as cheap and that it doesn’t work. However, if you give the reason why that item is at a discount, because you are going out of business, etc. then you will have a better chance for a sale.

Be careful though and don’t lie in your marketing. You will be found out. People will find ways to figure out whether or not you are lying. You can have tongue in cheek reasons, but people understand from the get go that these reasons are more for a chuckle than for anything else.

So many people create fad products. In fact, there are more types of fad products in the Internet marketplace than ever before. These types of products are short term and will not keep your Internet business afloat. Fad products won’t let you earn residual income in the future so you can remove yourself from your business and still make money.

It is a much better idea to create an evergreen product. You want to offer a product that can be sold for years to come. This type of product can earn you massive amounts of cash through affiliates and other residual income streams. You can always update and upgrade your evergreen products at your own discretion, but they are evergreen in nature.

Try to differentiate yourself in the marketplace. You have to stand out because if you create a replica product then you are up for intense work. You would literally have to be the frontrunner of your niche area to sell this product. A better bet is to create a product that is similar and/or complements successful products. You will have a much easier time rising to the top of your niche because you will stand out with a new product to offer.

In certain niches it is very simple to be different from others. For example, if your competition in your niche only offers printed text products then you could provide an audio or video product. Your multimedia format product will create a unique and good reputation for you and your business.

“Pack your Affiliate Programs with Promotional Tools”

You have to use a hook to grab people so they will sign up for your list. They have to know what is in it for them. You can convey your hook more effectively through audio and video. Set up an audio and/or video that demonstrates your marketing message and what people will receive when they sign up for your list.

Some people will put in fake addresses on your opt-in list, but this is normal. Just ignore those fake email addresses. Focus on the legitimate people that do want to be on your list. This is targeted traffic that desires to know more about you and your products.

When a person signs up for your opt-in list you have a captive audience. This is the best time to ask them to refer friends. Not everybody will refer friends, but your list will grow even if only a few use the tell-a-friend script. It will always be better than if you didn’t use the tell-a-friend script at all.

Use the butterfly marketing concept of running an affiliate program. Affiliate programs are an excellent way to make small changes to your marketing campaign that has a huge effect on your promotion and bottom line. Read on to find out tips and tricks for affiliate programs.

When you set up an affiliate program it has to be simple. If you don’t then people won’t do what they are expected to do. If you think that people will promote your website after you give them an affiliate link then you are sadly mistaken. Instead, you need to provide them with promotional tools that automatically have their affiliate link embedded in the promotional tools. You should provide them the copy and promotional tools they need to promote your website. Make it simple for them. The affiliate will be much more likely to promote your website and products if they are armed with your information.

Provide multi-promotion tools for affiliates to use which include: email copy of several offers and email communication, Blog reviews, ezine ads, articles, press releases, banner images they can use, pay-per-click campaign, form signatures, email signatures, and the list goes on and on. Make sure to tell them how to use each specific promotional tool.

Create an affiliate program that has instructions in steps. People want a complete program to follow. They want to go through each step until they are finished. You don’t want them to pick and choose which promotional tools to use. Instead, you want them to use all your promotional tools so that you can maximize their affiliate efforts.

If you don’t take the time to create this material for your affiliates then they won’t take the time to create them either. If you want affiliates to spread the word about you and your products then you have to give them a promotional package about you and your products. This will create active affiliates and earn your more money.

Matt Bacak

“6 More Tips to Make Money from your Customer List”

6 more ways to make money from your list:
1. Give away free items to earn profits on the back end.
An example is to give away a free eBook in the beginning. Then at the end of the content of the eBook, it offers things to buy from you. You can also give away e-courses and reports. Within this content you can integrate the sale of your products. Just make sure you provide quality content interspersed with sales content.

2. Give trial offers. You find an affiliate program that offers a trial period. For example, you give away a month or two month trial of the affiliate’s program. Many affiliate programs are happy to give away free trial periods because they know that most people who sign up will continue to use the program after the free trial period.

3. Offer demos. An example is to give away a demo of your software or program. The demo has an expiration date.

4. Offer training videos. An example is to make a training video on how to use a software program. Make sure to give your affiliate link with the offer so when people actually buy the software you will earn a commission.

5. Turn your subscribers into marketing partners. Have your list members actively promote your business for you. You can turn a small list into an army of people that generate business for you.

How do you accomplish this? When people first sign up for your list, send them a free eBook. Provide a link with this eBook which lets them promote your business by sending this free eBook to other people that they know.

Tip: Don’t look at your list as just people you can sell to, but as people that can sell for you and promote your business.

6. Use two-tier affiliate programs. Build a down line by using the list members and give your list members eBooks to help build their own business. Your list members give away this free material and earn a commission and you earn commission on any sales that are generated.

Tip: Train people how to become more effective affiliates so you can make more money from them.

Matt Bacak

Following are answers to various questions that plague both new and old Internet entrepreneurs alike.

Question #1: What are the fastest ways a newbie can make money on the Internet? Especially for a newbie that needs to get out of debt?
You need to have either a subscriber list or product or both before you can start making on the Internet.

If you have a list, but no product then you can promote and sell other people’s products. For example, you can go to http://www.clickbank.com and became an affiliate of their various digital products. Clickbank.com has a well established affiliate program in place. Sign up as an affiliate and send an email to your list. Sending emails to your list is quick and virtually free. It is a great way to bring in quick money.

If you have a product to sell, but no list then you should set up a joint venture with someone that has a list. The list should contain subscribers that would be interested in your product. Your joint venture partner will promote and sell your product by sending an email(s) to their list.

Question #2: I receive a great deal of information about Internet marketing. This conflicting information has me confused. Who should I listen to?
There are several legitimate and successful Internet marketers out there that you should listen to. However, there exist Internet marketers that are out to take your money. You should always look for proof of success from the Internet marketer in question. Are they really making the money they claim? Find references that can back up their claims.

6 Tips to a Profitable Joint Venture

Joint ventures are an extremely effective way to break into the Internet business market. Joint ventures also help to keep your business riding high as you bring in more subscribers and increase sales. Therefore, an Internet business entrepreneur should participate in and actively seek out joint venture partnerships.

When seeking out and creating joint ventures you should keep a few things in mind. Following are tips to help you set up and maintain an effective affiliate program in your joint venture.

Joint Venture Tip #1: You should have an affiliate manager program set up before you take part in a joint venture. Kick Start Cart is an excellent program to use.

Joint Venture Tip #2: Place all your digital products on http://www.clickbank.com. Why? Clickbank has an established affiliate program that makes it simple to create joint ventures.

Joint Venture Tip #3: If you are offering a digital product to affiliates then you might want to be more generous to the affiliate. This means that you offer 70% commission to the affiliate while you take the remaining 30% commission. Normally, a joint venture has a split of 50/50 for the commission. However, for digital products the 70/30 split will bring in higher quality and more motivated affiliates.

Joint Venture Tip #4: Bribe joint venture parties to become your affiliate. A joint venture partnership needs to be beneficial for both parties involved. Therefore, you need to make your offering attractive to an affiliate. What is in it for them? In certain situations you can offer a 100% commission to affiliates. This may seem crazy, but it is a long term strategy. The 100% commission will motivate affiliates to heavily promote and sell your product. You won’t make the commission at that time, but you will bring in a quality subscriber list which you can promote to and make money off of in the future.

Joint Venture Tip #5: Find an affiliate program that is easy for BOTH you and the affiliate. You want to make it as easy possible for an affiliate to partner with you. You should provide the content for the Google Adwords advertisements, emails, banners, etc. for the affiliates. Have the content all ready to go so the affiliate can simply take your information and plug it into their strategy.

Joint Venture Tip #6: Sign up for affiliate programs to find out how they manage their affiliate program. You don’t necessarily have to sell anything for them. You just want to model their strategy if it is lucrative. Success leaves clues. Use these clues to your benefit. A great affiliate program to check at is http://www.promotematt.com/.

Joint Venture and Affiliate Tips Every Internet Entrepreneur Should Know

Whether you are new to the Internet business world or a seasoned professional, joint ventures are a powerful way to increase your business presence, reputation, and income. Therefore, many Internet entrepreneurs seek out joint venture partnerships to get their business rolling or improve their earnings from a last year.

One common question about Joint Ventures is where can you find these opportunities? One option is to log onto ClickBank at http://www.clickbank.com. ClickBank is the Internet’s leading retailer of digital products. You can search for your niche and find products that relate to your niche. If you are satisfied with the products then you can contact the creator of the product to set up a Joint Venture partnership.

However, you may find that all the products in your niche on ClickBank are of low quality. They are so low quality that you feel promoting these products would tarnish your reputation in your niche. What should you do? Create a product of your own! The presence of low quality products demonstrates the need for a better product. You can create this product and crush your competition in the process.

What product should you create? You can create a book or eBook. It may seem like a daunting process, but is in fact easy. You can create an audio of the contents of the book and then turn this content into a book or eBook.

Why should you create a new product? One reason is tat you will be selling your own product and will take all the profit instead of a 50-50 split in a Joint Venture partnership. Meanwhile, you will have other Internet entrepreneurs clamoring down your door asking to start a Joint Venture with you.

Now let’s take a look at affiliates. The big question about affiliates involves figuring out ways to get people to sign up to be your affiliate. The sad fact about many affiliates is that they don’t really sell any of your products. Either the incentive is not high enough to constantly promote your product or they just simply won’t put forth the effort. Therefore, many times you won’t make much money from affiliates.

However, there is a way to conquer the low sales through affiliates. The key is to get your affiliates involved. People love to be a part of something and are more apt to promote your product if they are invested in the entire process.

For example, let your affiliates know that you have a new product coming out. Let them know explicitly what your goals are for this product. Also provide a specific date of when the product will be launched. Enroll people into your idea so they sign up as affiliates and sent out an email for your product. You need to put a deadline or date; otherwise affiliates won’t take the initiative to sell your product. Running a contest is also an effective way to garner affiliates.
